#MortonSaltGirl100 party

Recently through mom select I was given the chance to host a Morton Salt girl party.   As I was preparing to host my party I came to realized just how much Morton Salt has been part of my life!  Not only do I use it to cook in my food, but I also use it to clear ice in the winter, make bath salt products, crafts, heck I even gurgled it in water before to take care of a cut in my mouth.  It wasn't until I was selected to host this party that I realized just how much Morton Salt has been part of my life!  So with a lot of respect and gratitude I would like to say Happy 100th Birthday Morton Salt girl and thank you <3
My party kit included:
Morton Salt
recipes
trivia game
fun party ideas
Morton themed candies
umbrella
some parties supplies (decor, napkins, ect.)
coupons
 bath soaks
and a super cute Morton Girl tin!

First what is a party with out some great snacks!  I used my Morton Salt in my favorite chicken finger recipe.

To be honest I have hundreds of recipes that call for salt.  I just choose one at random :).  Again it wasn't until the party I realized just how much Morton Salt I use!

After everyone enjoyed a few snacks we played a game of trivia.
Did you know that Julius Caesar cherished Salt most!  That in the ancient world, salt was as good as gold and soldiers were even paid in salt!  How crazy is that?!?!

After the trivia I handed out coupons which everyone was excited about.

And finally I was able to share some fun uses with salt with my guest!  I wont type them all out here, but I will share a few :)

1) Epsom Salt Facial - You simply take your favorite cleansing cream or wash and add 1/2 teaspoon of Morton Natural Epsom Salt.  Mix together and gently message all over your face in small circles.  AVOID YOUR EYES!  Allow to site 15 minutes rinse and TA-DA you have a new healthy glow to your face.

2) Foot Scrub - 1 cup Morton Natural Epsom salt
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 lemon juiced
Mix them together.
Let your feet soak in warm water for 10 minutes and then rub this mixture onto them.  Paying close attention to your heels and balls of your feet.  Let soak for another 5 minutes.  Rinse and then dry.  your feet should now feel soft and moisturized.

3) Salt Dough - This is for the crafty mom! 1 Cup Morton Salt, 2 Cups of all-purpose flour, 3/4 cup of water
Mix Salt and flour together in a large bowl. Very slowly sir in water.  Keep mixing until it forms a dough consistency.

As I said these are only a few of the uses for Morton Salt the possibilities are endless and after 100 years the girl in the yellow dress has proved she is the best :).

So please join me in wishing her a very Happy 100th Birthday!!
