The Boxcar Children DVD Review and giveaway
I am sure many of us remember our beloved childhood books. I remember the first time I walked into the school library and was in awe of the rows and rows of books. And I remember again going to my town library and being shocked that there was a library bigger then the schools.
I have always had a love of books, a love that has followed me into adulthood. Each story is like a mini escape where anything is possible.
I remember many of my favorites as a kid and The Boxcar Children were always at the top of the list. When I was contacted about reviewing the DVD. I said YES! I'm sure the sponsor thought it was for my children and yes they have watched and enjoyed the DVD, but the original yes was for me :).
About the Film:
Four orphaned and homeless siblings happen upon an abandoned boxcar, which with a little creativity and hard work, they gradually furnish with all the comforts of home. Fearful that they will be sent to live with the reputedly cruel grandfather they have never met, the children keep their new home a secret - until a serious illness forces them to reveal themselves in order to save young Violet.

Watching a beloved story come to life was exciting! I loved that I was able to share it with my kids and that now my oldest can't wait to search for this book in the school library in a few weeks when school starts.
The movie was just as heartwarming as the book. The characters were just as a I remember reading them. Anyone who loved the books is sure to love the DVD!
