Ready, Set, Read and write!  LeapFrog Review

Being a parent for over 5 years now I have discovered that there are some brands you can always count on.  For my family LeapFrog happens to be one of those brands.  From the time my kids were really small we have been buying them LeapFrog products.  First it was their Scout puppies, then the learning keyboard game system, DVDS, writing books and so much more.
I love that they have the perfect product for every age.

Recently I was given the chance to host a LeapReader party!  I'm sure you know I jumped at the chance :).

My party pack included:
* 2 LeapReader sets ~ LeapReader engages kids in imaginative stories.  Taking our kids right into the story.  My 5 year old is learning to read and I love that he can take the pen and point to a word.  This is the best way for little ones to learn he can hear the word and see the word.  After doing it so many times my little guy easily picked the word up!  I am so proud of him and was surprised that after a few tries he was able to read words he didn't know before!  Plus it helps that some of the story is read in his favorite character's voice.

*LeapReader Book: Learn to Write Letters with Mr Pencil.  As always I love the fun characters that LeapFrog has!  They really engage little kids with characters like Dot, Dash and Mr. Pencil. In this particular book my kids were able to practice writing  and the alphabet with the LeapReader, and learn about upper- and lowercase letters and letter sounds.  It was perfect for my little guys age group.

*LeapReader 3D Book: Disney Pixar Monsters University- This was by far the biggest hit at the party!  Not all the parents would let me show photos of their kids, but the few that did I am sure you can see how crazy they went over this one!  The kids could be heard yelling Mike and Sulley!!  My poor dogs thought we were under attack lol.

*LeapReader Tag- My party pack suggested I play a fun game where I give each of the kids part of a word and tell them to find the child with the other part of their word.  The kids loved it!!  At home when my little guys played by themselves they put out all the words in a pile and played a matching game with them.
 I was also given:
Branded invites
Themed activities and easy-to-make recipes
Valuable information to share with other parents and teachers- Demos/fact sheets.

I'm sure you know the kids had a blast, but since you are an adult looking for LeapFrog LeapReader information I want to go more in detail about the products.
The LeapReader targets 3 main areas and helps children build skills.  These areas are reading, writing and listening.  Everyone is in back to school mode and as a mom with a Kindergarten I know what its like to be worrying if they are reading at the proper level.  I really feel that by using LeapReader we can help young children be confident readers.  The books are easy to use so little ones don't become confused and frustrated.  They also come in some many books and styles that it easy to find something for everyone!
I also love the work sheets my son is having an issue writing letters and all the extra practice helps!  With his LeapReader pen its takes "work" and makes it play.  So he doesn't mind learning!

This is the first time my family has ever used the flash cards and I'm so amazed by them!  They kept all the kids at the party highly engaged   I'm sure you know with a room full a kids keeping all of them engaged is usually impossible.  It is helping my son with word build and rhyming.  He now sees why bat and cat rhyme since the last letters are the same.

The LeapReader library has 150+ books, maps, flash cards, book sets, learn to write sets, audio books, music albums and trivia challenge activities.

Nothing makes a parent happier then to see pride on their child's face.  My little guys are so proud of themselves when they learn something new and thanks to LeapReader I have seen that proud look on their face's quite often in the past few days :)
