Letter Sounds DVD review

Letter Sounds DVD review

About the DVD:
Energetic music and fun activities build excitement about learning to read. Letter Sounds covers the most common sound that each letter makes. The completely new Letter Sounds DVD with its "on-screen mouth" shows how to form each sound and features exciting animation. Lovable characters on the DVD help engage kids. Letter Sounds CD comes with a full-color illustrated book. By the end of either program, students are combining letters to read words and even simple sentences.
Ages 4–7.
Approx. 62 minutes

My thoughts:
In school my little guy does great with his alphabet!  He can sing it perfectly, but he struggles with the sounds.  I couldn't figure out why and then it dawned on me music!  The alphabet is fun and upbeat.  Little kids want to learn how to sing this fun song.  Well Letter Sounds DVD takes the fun music and upbeat songs to teach about sounds.
I knew even before I opened the DVD it was going to be a huge hit with my little guys.  I mean really the one sure way to get a kid's attention is to make it fun and that is just what Letter Sounds does!  Brandon and Quinn were completely engaged and by the end of the movie Brandon was easily stringing letters together to sound out words!

Kids are expected to know so much now of days every little bit helps and Letter Sounds definitely does that.
