Merry Larry and the True Light of Christmas review

Since 1993 VeggieTales have been teaching kids that God not only made them special, but he loves them very much.  Through fun sweet stories VeggieTales teaches kiddos about God's love.  I remember when I was younger I use to get love going to our church Christmas party!  I would get an orange, chocolate covered pretzels and a small toy.  The other highlight of the day was watching VeggieTales!!  I was so upset when I got older and had to go upstairs to the older kid party!  I wanted nothing more then to be down stairs watching my beloved VeggieTales.
Over they year I began to forget them and moved on to teenage things.  When Brandon Jr first started to watch Tv I went to big efforts to make sure he only saw good shows that taught good values.  As I was goggling good value kid shows VeggieTales popped up.  This sounds silly, but I got a huge smile on my face remembering all those church parties and me and all the other kids excitingly watching are favorite veggies.

I knew beyond a doubt that the Veggies would be part of my kid's lives.  They are faith based, teach great life lessons and are just heart warming.

I was recently given the opportunity the review Merry Larry and the True Light of Christmas!
SYNOPSIS
Larry The Cucumber stars as "Merry Larry", an enthusiastic employee of the Spring Valley Mall who serves as "Head Elf" during the Christmas season. Each day he hears countless children's requests for what they'd like under their Christmas trees. But one little girl's request catches his attention - Little Christina just wants to help her friend, Mrs. Crespie, who lost her house in a fire, get a new house for Christmas! Merry Larry sets off on a caper to create the biggest light show EVER to bring attention to Mrs. Crespie's situation. Meanwhile, the mall manager, Philip Fleagle (Bob the Tomato) finds he has NO lights and no head elf for the mall's spectacular Christmas display - right on the day the owner of the mall is supposed to visit! Will Philip realize what the "true light of Christmas" is really all about and help Merry Larry rally the community to get Mrs. Crespie's in a home by Christmas? Find out in this all new VeggieTales story where kids learn that "Christmas shines most bright and true, when you give the love God gave to you.

Well I'm sure you know I ADORED it!  I knew my kids would too since we have seen other VeggieTale movies Jonah being our favorite.
When I told the kids we were going to sit down and watch a VeggieTale movie they both got huge smiles and all but ran to our family room. They love the fun characters and the enchanting story line. I myself like that it was teaching them the true meaning of Christmas.
Oh and for you Duck Dynasty fans....
***Featuring Si Robertson as Silas the Okra!***
As Uncle Si fans this def. caught they hubby and my attention!

This is a family film you don't want to miss. If your family is like mine and really wants to stress the importance of the holiday and why we really celebrate, Merry Larry and the True Light of Christmas is a fun way to do this.

  5. I haven't seen a Veggie Tales movie in like forever and I don't think my youngest ones have either. My oldest daughter and I used to watch them quite a lot. Thanks for bringing back memories. I may have to introduce them once again to my little one.
