Tech 4 Kids is now introduction Tek recon. You can blast into action with a new line of high-performance blasters. These blasters feature real trigger and recoil barrel action, high capacity quick load cartridges, & they blasts up to 75 feet! To optimize the real battle and team experience Tek Recon has developed a free iOS and Android app that uses GPS technology to bring video games into real life! Once loaded the app provides an interface complete with interactive heads up display, live chat, and radar tracking. Simply attach your smartphone to the blaster, power up and play a video game styled battle with your friends in real life using a real, physical blaster!

My review:
My boys and I were able to review the Hammer Head Team battles pack and also the larger Havok.  Last week we had a really warm day and I thought it would be nice to get outside for a half hour and play..... That 30 minutes turned into 2 hours and the only reason we stopped is because I was to tired.  I was amazed at how far the blasters went!  We set up targets around the yard and I hid teddy bears.  Yes we went on rescue missions lol.
My kids got really into the battle scene and were rolling around and ducking behind stuff :)
The disks are on the smaller size though so you may want to watch where you blast them.  I can see how they would easily get lost.  I was impressed at how easily they were to use.  I thought for sure my 3 year old would have a hard time, but he was easily able to pull the trigger and get into the fun!

I can see us having a lot of fun with these this summer!

I don't have boys but if I did this is something I'm sure they would love.

  4. Sounds like fun! Although I'm trying to steer my son away from anything involving guns or shooting, hurting someone. I don't know. I might be crazy. :)

  6. I don't know whether is because I'm not from the U.S. or because I'm a mom of girls, but I don't know what blasters are. I love that you have fun with your little ones, because spending time with your kids is the most rewarding gift you can give them.
