Hoppers Review

My kids love playing games.  Brandon my oldest is starting to like games that challenge him.  Its tough though finding games that not only challenge him, but are still fun for my youngest.  So I went in search of a game that he could play by himself.  One that was challenge and would hold his attention :)

I found just that in the game Hoppers! Hoppers is a Peg Solitaire Jumping Game (Ages 5 and up) from ThinkFun.  The game is fun and not only involves the jumping of game frogs pieces, but also the challenge of promblem solving!   You simply set the frogs on the pond, then jump frogs until only one is left standing. Forty challenge cards range from easy to super hard.   My son LOVES it!  He will pick a card and just keep moving through them.  I'm impressed that he takes his times and tries to see which moves will put him into the best position to eliminate all the frogs.....  Well all but one.

The game board was fun and colorful.  I have a game similar to this that I got at Cracker Barrel.  My son never shown much interest in it, but I think the colors on the Hoppers game drew his attention and made him want to play.  Plus the challenge cards add so much fun.  Him and his friends have contest taking turns and seeing who can collect the most cards.
And the frogs come on and go back on easily.  I was worried my little guy would have a hard time getting the peg frogs off and on, but he didn't :).
