Sakar’s collection  Kids-Safe Headphone Collection

My boys like all the same technology as my hubby and I.  They have a kindle, MP3 player, handheld games, mini DVD player and so much more.  Here is the thing they tend to be distracting and at times I will admit a bit annoying.  I don't want my kids to put headphones on, because I'm not sure if it will do ear damage.

Well thanks to Sakar international I no longer have to worry about that!  They have made and entire collection of Kids-Safe headphones!
The collections includes:
My Little Pony
 Hello Kitty
 Batman
Superman
 Iron Man 3
 Monster High
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
and so many more!!

My boys choose the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and Spider-man!

Sakar International’s new line of kids-safe headphones allows kids to safely listen to and enjoy music. Large, full-range drivers give listeners a rich sound experience, with crisp highs and warm, clear bass tones. The ear cups are lightweight with thick, comfortable padding to provide noise isolation, while the headband bends easily for a comfortable fit. The kids-safe headphone series features a built-in volume limiter, protecting children's hearing by automatically limiting audio volume to approximately 80% of the original maximum volume. Kids-safe headphones are compatible with all portable devices that feature a 3.5mm stereo jack output, including iPod, iPhone, iPad, Android smartphones and tablets, and portable gaming devices such as the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo DS series. These headphones are also compatible with laptops, PCs, CD players, and home audio systems.

Okay so first off I had to have my kids try them on.  To be honest it can offer a thousand health benefits, but if they aren't comfortable my kids wont wear them.
So we gave them their first test and they passed with flyer colors.  The band was adjustable so I could fit them to each of their head size.  And the earphone cups were really padded so no "pinching" their ears as my 3 year old eloquently put it :).

I tested the sound myself and was happy that it wouldn't go up past a certain level.  I don't have to worry about damaging their little ear drums.
We tried them with many devices and they worked with each of them.  I was even able to hook them up to my computer when my kids were playing their games.

So not only are the comfy, they are so kid safe.  And to really top it off they are beyond cute!  My oldest takes his MP3 player on the bus, he has an hour ride in the morning and gets bored.  He couldn't wait to show it off to all the other kids on the bus :)

Cute, comfy and safe!  The Sakar's Collection of Kids-safe Headphones gets 2 huge thumbs up from this mama.

Both the Turtles and Spiderman can be found at ToysRus! To learn more see my link below and remember these are only 2 of many designs :)

  1. It really is so nice to listen to music on a good set of headphones, but they do need to be kid safe. As a teenager I would listen to Chopin on headphones so I wouldn't get in a 'stereo fight' with my sister's Rod Stewart. I cranked it up a little to loud, and I became borderline deaf in one ear. I love seeing items that will make sure kids don't become deaf while listening to their favorite tunes.

  2. Oh I like the idea of limiting the volume, kids like everything so loud. The Batman headphones sound great for our boys, everything Batman at the moment.

  3. I often wonder about what will happen to the hearing of not only kids but adults as they go through life attached to some electronic gadget or another. I am glad at least one company is doing something about it.

  5. What a great idea! I've found my son trying to put in my hubby's ear buds, although he knows I don't allow it. These would be a great alternative, JUST for him too! :) Thanks for sharing!
