Sobieski and  CAMUS review

I am not a big drinker, to be honest I may drink twice a year. And it's always at a event, a holiday get together or the occasional taste at the Olive Garden.
The few times a year I do pore myself a drink I want it to taste good and go down easily!

This holiday season as I'm hosting my family get together I wanted to serve something that everyone will like and I think I may have found it!

Sobieski flavored vodka and Camus VSOP Elegance Cognac!

I would to talk a bit about each, but I also want to mention that you should always drink responsibly.  Know your limit!

First lets talk about Sobieski flavored Vodka:

Sobieski vodka is one of the best vodkas in the world, made from the finest Dankowski Rye which helps give it its authentic, rich taste (and silky finish).  Each has its own unique flavor, which just adds to the already rich flavor.  These are perfect when mixing a cocktail to enjoy with family and friends.   If you go to the site and click on the flavor you are interested in they even give you so yummy ideas on how to best serve that particular flavor.

Sobieski also partners with Fisher House Foundation!  So they are a company that gives back :)

I personally was able to try the Orange, Black Cherry and Raspberry.  Each has its own separate unique taste that sets it apart.
I think the Orange was my favorite!  I had a little bit left of my vanilla milkshake and thought what the heck maybe it will taste good together... AND IT DID!  My milkshake did melt, but then I had a really yummy orange cream tasting drink.  My hubby wouldn't try it he said he can't drink milk and vodka together so he put his with some pineapple juice and said it tasted really good!
I love that the flavors are versatile  and can added to almost anything.  Making it a great holiday party item, since everyone likes different cocktails.
Next I was able to try a sample size of CAMUS cognac.

I left my hubby try this to see what he thought and I will tell you that in a bit, after I tell you a little more about the product.

CAMUS VSOP Elegance is a Cognac rich in mellow, fruity aromas. For the VSOP Elegance, Maison CAMUS selects aromatic eaux-de-vie partially distilled on the lees, including some from our famous Borderies cru, to strengthen the aromatic richness of this Cognac as it ages.
Aging in oak barrels specially selected by CAMUS ensures a great mellowness of character and richness of flavor, accented with delicate woody notes.
The barrels used are medium toasted, preserving the original aromas of the eaux-de-vie and producing a Cognac with admirable poise and balance.
Drink straight over ice or long.
CAMUS VSOP Elegance is the preferred choice of bar professionals worldwide as the base for premium cocktails.

My hubby claimed right away that this was a drink that would go really nice with a food pairing.  I thought he was going to be difficult, but he only asked for a piece of apple pie.  He sat down to enjoy them together and was really impressed how well they went together.  He claimed it changed the entire taste.  He claimed it took a simple piece of apple pie and made it Elegant.

He said it went down really smoothly and he enjoyed all the different rich flavors and aromas.
He also said that he could see himself enjoying this not only with desserts, but also with steak and meals.
