BACCA AND THE RIDDLE OF THE DIAMOND DRAGON: An Unofficial Minecrafter’s Adventure
MineCraft has long ago taking hold on my household. We honestly have the game for 3 different game systems, we have toys, posters, books and even MineCraft themed food! My boys LOVE it and I don't really mind it seeing as it promote imaginative play.
My oldest loves reading. He has several bookshelves that are full and a kindle that I have to keep putting books on the cloud to make room for his new books. He loves it and again as a mom this is something I don't mind! If anything as an advent reader myself I strongly promote and encourage this.
Recently we discovered some Unofficial Minecrafter's adventures from Skyhorse Publishing.
They are fun and creative. Plus the combine both reading a Minecraft! A huge hit for my little man.
Their latest Bacca and the Riddle of the Diamond Dragon was according to my son AWESOME! It is action packed and humorous. I read a little bit and got into it, so I think it is great for all ages.
Bacca has it all. The most celebrated (and furry) star in the Overworld, he's the person others look to for help building their dungeons, mazes, and castles. He has a girlfriend, LadyBacc, and his most prized possession of all—a diamond axe called Betty.
One day, Bacca is approached by a mysterious dragon . . . made entirely of diamonds! The dragon is from a new biome—a secret land few have ever seen—where a special object has been stolen. A seemingly impossible set of riddles and challenges stands in the way of getting it back, but if Bacca can help, the dragon promises he’ll receive a new weapon even better than Betty. Is he willing to risk everything and push his crafting skills to their very limits?
For readers ages 9 and up, this is a really fun adventure story set in the world of Minecraft, based on a very popular YouTube channel personality who posts videos about Minecraft. Using an expert's knowledge of the game and an exciting plot that mirrors much of what users would actually be doing while playing the game, the book is an energetic and action-packed digital saga.
