I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not paid in anyway to write this review.  All opinions are my own.

Ravensburger games

One of my favorite gifts to give my kids is games!  We have weekly game nights here and I love that the entire family gets together and we just enjoy each others company.
Some nights we get a bit competitive and little victory dances even occur lol

One thing you can always count on during game night though is laughter!  We joke around, pretend trash talk and just have a blast.  I love these nights with my family.

Now Quinn is 4 and Brandon is 7.  My hubby and I are both old (28 and 30) sometimes the age gap makes it hard to find games we all like.  So I am always on the lookout for something we can all enjoy.  Which is why I LOVE Ravensburger Game, even though they are geared towards kids my hubby and I still have a blast playing!
We have one game from them called Bugs in the Kitchen and my 4 year old beats me all the time!  I don't even let him win it just happens :)!!
They also offer puzzles that are great for both adults and kids.

For the 2015 holiday season they are offering some super fun games that the entire family is sure to love.
Now I am going to tell you about several games, I want you to know this is only a small selection of the many games and puzzles offered by Ravensburger.

Buggaloop

The follow-up game to the hugely successful Bugs in the Kitchen, Buggaloop features an entertaining HEXBUG nano V2 from Innovation First, which hides in the hidden places of the 3D game board, popping out unexpectedly to interrupt regular game play and delight competitors trying to advance their bug tokens. Ages 6+
My boys LOVED Bugs in the Kitchen so much I just knew this game would be a hit.  You never know when that little HexBug is going to pop up and each time he does the entire family laughs.

Next up we were able to review
Cartagena

Players take off on an exciting race to successfully lead their band of stranded pirates through the dangerous jungle and onto the waiting rescue ship. Strategy and luck come into play, as the first person to have all of their men on board wins! Pathway tiles provide a different game layout every time. Ages 8+
This one was a strategy game, so even though my 4 year old couldn't play himself he had a blast being on my team.  I always let him lay down the card we played.  The point of the game is to be the first person to have all 6 pirates to safety.  It takes strategy though because you don't want to rush to the end to fast or it leaves you out of options.
My hubby and I LOVE this game, my 4 year thought the pirates were the best and my 7 year old really got into it.  It was cute watching him think about his moves.

This next game was Quinn's favorite!
Monkey Beach

Ahoy Mateys! Here’s an adventure game of pirates and treasure seeking for the preschool set that requires players to use their sense of touch to advance play. Pirate players must feel for the hidden treasures and move them to the correct opening in the fabric island. On each turn, players select two cards to see which treasure they have to find and to which opening to seek their treasure. Players must quickly collect their treasures before the volcano erupts and the game ends! Ages 3+
So even though the game was super easy to play we all still enjoyed it.
I would say this game is gear towards younger kiddos though.

Last but not least we got to review a puzzle!  Rainy days and puzzles are my absolute favorite!  We clear off the counter top, grab our kitchen chairs and crowd around the build a puzzle together.  Even though we end up taking them about in the end, the time we spent building it are some of my favorite memories.  My kiddos normally tell me about their days and what they are learning in school.  Quinn is always telling some silly puzzle knock knock joke that none of us get lol
Ravensburger offers some of the most unique and beautifully designed puzzles I have ever seen!  I choose to review a Trex puzzle I knew my boys would like that one, but I so wanted to get one of their pretty scene puzzles for myself!

Cchallenges kids to find interesting facts about the dinosaurs pictured in the puzzle scene, take a quiz on what they’ve learned and adjust the size of the image for a large, panoramic view of the scene. Ages 6+
These XXL Puzzle + Digital Games feature 100-pc puzzles that are assembled in the traditional way and then come to life with a free app, available for both iOS and Android. Once they download the app, puzzlers activate the camera function on their smartphone or tablet and point it at the finished work to access three different games

The games and puzzle I review are only a few of many!  Ravensburger offers so much more.  If you are looking for a gift to put a smile on someone's face this year, you def want to check them out.
