Paper Angels

I was given products in this post to test and give my honest feedback.  All opinions are my own.
Welcome to the 2015 Simply Me Holiday Gift guide!  The holidays should be fun.  At times finding the perfect gift, great deals, decorating and recipes can be overwhelming.  The Simply Me Blog wants to put the fun back into the Holidays so over the next several weeks I will be posting great gifts for everyone, decorating tips, recipes and everything in-between!

I live in a small town.  A few years ago I went to New York city and it was a huge culture shock for me.  I couldn't wait to get back to my little town where everyone knows my name and there isn't people trying to sell me god knows what on the street.  The guy in the dirty Elmo costume scared the bejesus out of me!
I'm not even fibbing I grab my brother and son's hand and ran the other way.  Who wants their photo taken with a 6' dirty Elmo?!?!

Shhh I know I am weird, my social anxiety and I are fine right here though :).
Seeing as this is my Gift Guide I thought I would give you a glimpse into what Christmas time is life for me.
One of my favorite things about my little town is Christmas time!  We have a small theater that has an all day Christmas movie marathon in the middle of December.
New movies and old movies.  You buy one ticket and you are good to go for the whole day!
We have train ride with Santa.  Here my boys are last year

The entire town comes out to light our town Christmas tree.  It is a magical time and I look forward to it each year.
We even have a small dam that the town gets to ice skate on.
We have an old fashion candy store that gets the best candy ever and our local theater puts on a cute Christmas show.

At home my boys are I have an entire day when we get the house ready for Christmas.  We decorate the tree, make Christmas Cookies, watch our favorite Christmas movie and drink hot chocolate.  We finish the night by reading one of our favorite Christmas books and writing our letters to Santa.

My mom and I every year watch Christmas movies together and make Christmas Candy.
This year we are going to start a new tradition a Christmas Cookie party.  Fingers Crossed it works and I can post about it later this year.
I love Christmas.  I love everything about it from lighting the tree, making cookies with my kids, watching movies with my mom and all the small stuff in the middle.

As I said watching movies is a great past time for me and my mom every year I try to add a few more to our list and this year I found a truly heartwarming one that I can't wait to share with her.

Paper Angels

Synopsis:
A abused wife Lynn  leaves her alcoholic husband Darryl, taking her two kids, Thomas and Sara with her.
She movies to another town where she works as a waitress to give her little family what they need to live.
Their little family is about to meet another struggling family when we meet Kevin his company is in risk of shutting down.
Thomas is having a hard time not only with the move, but also at school where is the target of a bully.  Kevin and Thomas just happen to meet by chance and little do they know the huge impact they will have on each other's lives through The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program.

This movie is heartwarming and sure to be a huge hit this holiday season!
