Peaceable Kingdom
Christmas morning is always the same in my house.  I am awoken to the sounds of pitter pattering feet and excited whispers as my boys awake and realize it is Christmas morning.  My hubby and I after pulling a long night roll out of bed and make our way to the living room.  At which time we get to see our boys entire faces light up with joy as they realize Santa was indeed at their house.
Then they being to open their gifts.  I love how excited they get and how they show each other what the got and make plans to play with it later.
That joy for me is the greatest gift of all on Christmas day.  I know the holidays aren't about gifts, but seeing my kids happy for me is a gift in itself.  This year for Christmas my boys are going to be getting lots of games.
For two reasons
1 they love games and it is something I know they will get excited about
2 Games are something we can enjoy as a family.  It is a gift that keeps giving
With that in mind I want to tell you about two fun games from Peaceable Kingdom.
Both games are unlike other games in the fact you don't verse each other, instead you work as a team to a common goal!
No hurt feelings, no loser.
The first game is Cauldron Quest.

The object of the game is to get the three correct ingredients into the Cauldron before all six of the paths are blocked. The evil Wizard has cast a spell to destroy the kingdom! You have the power to create a potion to break the spell, but you must work together. Your quest is to find the three correct ingredients hidden under the potion bottles and move them up the paths and into the Cauldron before the Wizard blocks all of the paths. If you do not get all three potion bottles with correct ingredients to the Cauldron before the paths are blocked, the Wizard triumphs and the kingdom is destroyed.
This game is for 2-4 players and I would say for people 6+.  My youngest was 4 though and able to play on my team.  I love that we had to work together to win.  It really was a fun family game for all of us.

Next up I reviewed a game that was for younger kiddos.  My 4 and 7 year old both loved it.
Hoot Owl Hoot

The shared objective is to move the owls, who have been out playing at night, back to the nest before sunrise so they don’t miss their bedtime. Exposes children to simple strategy, problem solving, following directions, and taking turns.
This was perfect for my 4 year old since it helped him with his colors.  Instead of trying to win it was sweet to watch my 7 year old help his brother.

Games are only one type of item offered at Peaceable Kingdom.  They also offer cards, stickers and so much more.
I was given a cute selection of both stickers and jean tattoos.  My kids LOVE the jean tattoos.  You put them off and in one washing them come off.
My kids can take their favorite pair of pants and for one day make them something new.
