Welcome to the 2015 Simply Me Holiday Gift guide! The holidays should be fun. At times finding the perfect gift, great deals, decorating and recipes can be overwhelming. I love to watch movies with my boys! Every year we pull out our huge box and try to watch all of them. We add a few each year and to date we have about 30 holiday movies! I even have a few of my old school VHS movies :)
The day after Thanksgiving we pull out our tree and decorations. We make cookies and hot chocolate and get the house holiday ready.
As we decorate we always have a holiday movie playing.
The years my boys and I agree that we are going to watch The Nutcracker Sweet!
Synopsis:
It is Christmas Eve and the Silberhaus children are excited for the festivities to begin. Marie and Fritz are playing in the children’s room when their godfather Drosselmayer arrives and presents them with an early Christmas gift, a Nutcracker. Marie witnesses a great battle between a vast army of toy soldiers led by the Nutcracker against a terrible platoon of mice commanded by the Mouse King. Follow Marie and Fritz’s journey in the Kingdom of Dolls, through the Christmas Forest, past the Almond Milk Sea, and the Palace of the Marzipans.
This movie is filled with holiday cheer! It is sure to put all kiddos in the holiday spirit and become a beloved at home classic :)
