Welcome to the 2015 Simply Me Holiday Gift guide! The holidays should be fun. At times finding the perfect gift, great deals, decorating and recipes can be overwhelming. Please tell me I am not the only one up before the sun on Christmas? My boys start in the middle of the night and get me up every hour to see if it is gift time yet.
A few years ago this would have been fine, I would most likely would have raced them to the living room. Now that I am 28 and suffer from chronic sleep insomnia it isn't very fun.
At this point my insomnia is manageable with medicine and a routine.
The number one rule though is keeping my room comfortable. This means dust, pet hair and other debris free.
Keeping it at a cool temperature. Running a fan and humidifier when I sleep.
No lights or noise when I am sleeping.
And finally making sure my bed is a mini oasis!
Now I have to wash my sheets so I make sure to always have at least 2-3 sets. That way when one is in the washer/dryer I still have another set I can use.
