My kids never stood at chance at being most people's definition of cool.  They were lucky enough to get a dork for a mom.  Now let me explain what having a dork for a mom entails.
Dressing up randomly because it is fun.
Drawing on the doors, because writing our favorite book quotes on our doors in my eyes is art.
Speaking of books every Dr. Seuss character/narrator has a different voice...  And I remember each one I made up so each time I tell the story it sound the same.
Making Gingerbread houses just so we can knock them over with our dinosaurs.
Seeing who can make the biggest splash in the muddiest puddles.
We have 3 advent calendars because I want a piece of chocolate too!!
Mastering voice impersonation, my personal best is Pinocchio from Shrek.
At the age 3 my kids didn't even bat an eye when I would grab the last piece of chocolate, hovel over it and rasp My precious.
Wearing PJ's all day long for family PJ day.
Making pancakes for dinner.
Dressing up in matching ugly sweaters.
Spending 2 hours outside hunting a yeti.  And the whole time knowing he doesn't really exists, but tossing snow balls anyway.  Because it is a well known fact you can only kill a Yeti by hitting him in the nose with a snow ball.
Whenever one of us need to do something huge it is exspected for the rest of us to say "May the Force be With You."

This is my family we are a bunch of dorks.  Well not my hubby I think we drive the poor man insane :)
My boys though, they are little mini mes and I love it.

When I seen Delta Children had Star Wars furniture I just knew we had to have it.  I was just bummed it didn't come in adult sizes (For the record my hubby flat out refuses to sleep in a Darth Vadar bed >:(!!!)
We got to review the Delta Children Star Wars Deluxe Upholstered Chair, Darth Vader and Delta Children Twin Bed, Star Wars

First lets talk about the bed.

It was so easy to put together, my hubby was at work when it arrived and I couldn't wait for him to get home.  The frame of the bed is metal so it is really sturdy and can hold up to 200 pounds.  The headboard and footer is plastic, but a top quality plastic that I don't need to worry about snapping.
Without the mattress it is pretty light weight making it easy to move around.  Not so easy though that is is wobbly, once together it is pretty solid.  I love that I don't need a box spring for this.  There is a almost cot like bottom that you put your mattress on.  And it is close enough to the ground I don't have to worry about my little guy falling off.
Finally I love the Star Wars theme!  On the headboard and footer there is some pretty awesome Star Wars art including Darth Vader!
This is a most have for all little Star Wars fans!

Now what would a cool kids room be without a place to sit!

When I seen the Darth Vadar chair I kind of wish my bum wasn't so big!  I would love to be able to sit in this for our Star Wars marathons!!

The hardwood frame makes it really sturdy and able to hold up against 100 pounds.  There is lots of room for little ones to move about, my 5 year old loves to sit in it side ways and put his legs over the arm.  Plus there is a lot of padding, a few times my little guys fell asleep in the chair :)
The Darth Vader theme is sure to be a huge hit with all Star Wars fans, it sure was with my boys.
I love the material, seeing as it is a kids chair there is sure to be at least one or two messes.  This material makes it easy to just wipe up with a wet cloth.

These are not the first items we have owned from Delta Children.  I can say for sure that their items hold up for years and are always made to last.
They are a brand that grows with your children no matter what age they are.
