Breakfast with Dad

Disclaimer:  I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not paid in anyway to write this post.  All opinions are my own.
When I make breakfast it is nothing short of awesomeness!  Everyone likes different things so I make sure we all get what we want.  This can include; homemade Blueberry muffins, eggs, bacon, toast, homemade hash-browns casserole, french toast, pancakes and of course fresh fruit.  There are several types of homemade jams I had frozen and even some fresh squeezed juice.  Brandon Jr is 8 I had quite a few years to build my skills :)  Plus I was the oldest sister so I cooked a lot for my siblings growing up.

Now there are days where my hubby likes to surprise me and cook lets reword that.  Days my hubby likes to put food on the table.  If he can grill it then it comes out perfect.  Breakfast isn't really a grilling type of meal.  So he makes, well pours cereal and he is quite handy with a toaster.  What can I say if he can get it to fit into a toaster he can make :)
That is as far as his breakfast skills go.   I know a few of you are thinking oatmeal....  Yeah no we won't tell that story, but he is cut from making even oatmeal in the kitchen.

Luckily I do have those homemade jams to add some flavor to his meals, but other than that they can be a little bland.
That is why I am in LOVE with Jif's all new breakfast spreads!!  They take a boring normally bland breakfast and give it that WOW factor!   I don't know about you, but my cabinet always has a jar of Jif peanut butter.

They are just a company I can trust, I feel like such a dork though because now they have all these new flavors that I never knew about!  I mean really when did they get yummy hazelnut and chocolate spreads!!  And I love cinnamon, why am I only just now finding out they have a cinnamon spread exists??  I can start getting my protein at the start of every day

I was sent both a cinnamon spread and a maple spread.  The obvious way to use them would be on toast, bagels and English muffins.
I took it a step further.  I now dip my apple pieces in the cinnamon spread.  Oh and I spread it on top of those homemade blueberry muffins.  You may not know this but cinnamon on blueberry muffins is AMAZING!  My son has even been sprucing up his S'mores with a little cinnamon spread

My hubby is pretty handy with the toast as I said, EGGOS are his signature dish lol.  Thanks to the maple spread I now have a more kid friendly topping for them!  No more sticky fingers.  Plus the jar I am told is perfect to dip his toaster made french toast sticks.  I am not a huge fan of the dipping into the jar though.  They ALWAYS let pieces of food behind!!!

My hubby may not be winning any chef awards in the near future, but he tries and we love him for it.  Thanks to Jif breakfast spreads we can now enjoy dad breakfasts a little more.

Father's Day is just around the corner and I have a feeling we may be enjoying a dad breakfast :).  He likes to get up extra early that day so we can all eat before Church <3
