My boys are 5 and 8, I am still in that beautiful stage of handmade gifts. Last year they both traced their little hands, cut them out, painted them and then wrote their initials on them. I framed those little hands and they now have a place of honor in my home!
At 29 though giving my mom something like this isn't as cute. If anything I think she would have my mental state checked if I tried.

I got her a sweet one that lights up!! Also I may get her a vacuum hers is broken, I was going to buy her one no matter what. I think giving it to her on Mother's Day though will have a little more meaning.
Finally I know my dad is a pain. I ADORE the man, but growing up him and eye butted heads quite a bit. So when my mom calls me and says your dad is driving me nuts today.... I feel her pain.
That is why I always get her some bath and beauty products, the woman needs a break lol
