Summer time is the best for kids (not so much me I hate the heat) my kiddos though LOVE it! Hours spent outside, playing with the hose and of course lots of icecream!!! Now though the cooler weather is coming and it is getting darker sooner. For my kiddos this means less time outside and having to find more fun stuff to do indoors. Now we do have lots of toys. They have a wrestling ring and a ton of wrestlers. We also have a castle set and of course no room is complete without a Paw Patroller (At least this is what my son told me) Still though there is a lot of hours to burn in a day and when we are stuck indoors my boys feel every single minute. That is why lately I have been turning to video games!
First off I love that my boys can play them without making a mess. Also it doesn't take much effort on my part. Finally I love the fact I can take the handheld devices in the cars and to doctor appointments. You have no clue how much I love having calm car rides!!!
Just like with all other things there is a few devices out there, but I have to say the Nintendo 3DS is #1 in our household.
Not only can we take it with us, but we can hook it up to the internet. Also we can vrs each other!! My son has the physical copy of Mario Cart 7. I downloaded the digital copy and we have spent hours the past weekend racing each other!! I know a lot of times video games tends to get in the way of family time. Not in our house we make it part of family time!!
And yes you read that right you can download games right onto your system! If you are like me and running out of shelf space this is a great option.

The new system features a cool deep blue color, along with some out-of-this world, space-themed artwork on its cover.
The new look will begin rolling out at retailers nationwide as early as Aug. 29, and continue to appear on shelves over the next couple of weeks
