From 2007 until June of 2016 I was a stay at home mom. That meant I could clean up a mess the moment it happened and when you came into my house unless you saw my pups you would never know I have 3 of them.
I was that good about staying up on the vacuuming. It was a pain though and I would have to bust out the vacuum at least 3 times a day just to stay up on it.
Now I am working and I am lucky if I get to vacuum once a day. And I feel like those pet hairs are taunting me because they are just EVERY where!! Not to mention those rainy weeks when I just have muddy paw print after muddy paw print!!
I needed help and it came in the form of a bObsweep!
I swear the day he arrived I felt like singing "let me tell you about my best friend!!"
Bob does it all! He sweeps and mops and all I have to do is empty his dust bin when it is full.
When he arrived I had to let him get a full charge. That was okay though it just gave me time to read all the instructions. And those were pretty easy. For the physical set up all I had to do was attach one side brush and the screw and screwdriver was provide for me to do so.
The rest was just button pushing and making bOb get on a cleaning schedule. I love that there is so many choices so I can pick when bOb cleans how how he cleans.
For example I can choose for him to clean as many days of the week as I want.. I can also choose what time of the day he starts to clean.
Let me be the first to tell you do not watch bOb clean. Sometimes he just seems to hang out in one area. It drives me nuts!! I tend to want to push him to you do other things, but he just wants to fixate on this one area. I was worried for nothing though because after several minutes bOb did move on and began to clean the rest of the house. My bOb doesn't seem able to handle area rugs. I am not sure why, I do have a "shagger" rug so I not sure if maybe it is just to thick for him. Also there is one treshhold in my house he cannot seem to get over. It is fine though there is 2 ways to get into that room and after awhile bOb does seem to make his way to the other one.
I love the fact he knows when he needs to charge and takes himself back to his station. Also he gives himself more then enough time to get there. I am yet to find bOb dead in the middle of the floor (that sentence seems so wrong lol) If you have a lot of clutter in your home I don't think you will like bOb very much. He does get stuck in certain areas once in awhile and if you have a lot going on I could see him getting stuck quite often.
I get up for work at 5am and don't get home until 5pm. I need to make dinner, help my boys with their homework and take my boys to their sporting stuff all before 8pm. At 8pm I need to do dishes, a load of wash and spend time with those 3 pups. I just don't have the time I use to and even though vacuum would only take me an hour it is an hour I just don't have any more. bOb has saved the day in so many ways. Now instead of using my precious time cleaning I get to spend more time with my family and doing stuff that makes me happy
After the first use I was a bit embarrassed by just how much bOb got off my floors!! Who knew I had that much dirt around my house
A few suggestions for anyone considering bOb. Make sure you have a clear area to place his charging station. It makes it easier for him to find.
Set his cleaning for a time when you aren't home or maybe doing something else. He isn't very quite and as I said sometimes it can get frustrating if you watch him clean
clean up any mess on the floor before you use him. A stray toy or pillow ect
I really do love my bOb and even though I need to clean my rug and near that one thresh hold still, he frees up so much of my time!! This over busy mama just can't believe she wanted so long to invite bOb into her home :)
