When my oldest son was 3 I tried to sit him down to watch Star Wars. Sadly at the time he wasn't old enough to appreciate it, but when he turned 8 he asked if we could please try again. I was a bit hesitant, he already broke my heart once with the movies lol. The 2nd time was the charm though! He loved them, son his room was filled with all things Star Wars, he even has a Darth Vader bed :)!! Now that the new movies are coming out he loves Star Wars even more then ever, plus I think the newer movies are a bit more his speed. He isn't use to the low quality (Picture wise, not content) movies I had as a kid. When I saw Revell was doing Star Wars themed model for the holidays I just knew he had to have them!
These include including four snap-together, hyper-realistic scale plastic model kits of vehicles from the new movie.
Exclusively from Revell, the kits are designed for ages 6 and up and feature action lights and sound for the first time ever in scale plastic models. My son is now 10 and these were really easy for him to snap together, plus they are durable. He is able to play with them without them falling apart! Not only are they great for play, but they would also make a really cool decoration for anyone who likes collecting things! I have a feeling he will play with them now and as he gets older use them more for decoration
