I know I said this several times before, but I work in a school with special need kiddos. Well I guess the correct term would be I "worked" in a school. Like many others I have been sent home and told to stay home for an unforeseeable time.
The coronavirus has shaken the world and left us all scared.
These past few weeks have been heartbreaking and terrifying. I miss my school kids, I'm scared for my family and I just don't know when it will end. Several of my family members are nurses, both my grandparents are elderly and my pappy has had breathing problems his whole life. My husband, brother, sister and dad all work in "essential" companies and cannot stay home.
I try to call as many of them as I can in a day and let them know I'm thinking about them.
I want to do more though. I want to show my love beyond words. A friend of mine sent me a card a few days ago and I felt the love on the pages, it brought a smile to my face.
My boys and I have been making silly videos to email my mom to bring a smile to her face. My sons teacher calls and emails to check up on him.
But I want to do more. I want to know I made someone's day a littler brighter. Made this tough time a little more bearable.
