I'm not my dad's favorite person, not my moms, the day my boys were born I stopped being my husbands, my kids favorite person is John Cena and I'm pretty sure I'm not even anyone's favorite sibling. You know who looks at me though as if I hung the moon and all the stars in the sky. My dog, Loki.
Loki would do anything to be with me. His favorite place in the world is at my side.
We have a huge couch, a small couch and a reclining chair in my living room. There is no way being smushed on that chair with me is comfortable, but every time I sit there he jumps up and squeezes in.
At night when I get up to use the bathroom no matter what time it is he goes with me. He goes with me to hang my wash, feed the chickens, get the mail and even is sitting next to me as I type these words. He is my last good night each night and my first hello each morning.
He is never to busy to give me kisses and no matter what I do or look like he is never embarrassed of me. I'm his person, and that un-conditional love is awe-inspiring. He may not be human, but he is my person too. My tears have soaked his fur more time then not. And his silly actions have brought more smiles to my face then I could ever count. My life is fuller with him in it. His isn't just my dog, he is my best friend and my companion.
One of the best thing I can do for my best friend is make sure he eats right. And no I don't mean the bites of steak I sneak him under the table. I mean the food he eats 95% of the time. I don't want to feed him something I cannot even pronounce. And I want his ingredients to be wholesome and something I can be proud to feed him. If he was in charge of feed me I have no doubt I would be getting the very best. So I want to make sure I offer him the best as well.
