Zonderkidz Back to School Offerings

I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not paid to write this review.  All opinions are my own.

I love summer time with my boys.  I don't work during the summer so for me this bonding time is extra special.  But by mid august I start to feel the strain of not having a routine.  I'm at an age were staying up until 1130 is a "late night".  School is about to start again and with it comes back our routine.  We do the normal wake up early, eat breakfast, bus, come home snack, homework, dinner ect.  But my absolute favorite part of the routine is the bedtime part.  About a half hour before bed we read.  Sometimes we listen to an audiobook together, sometimes one of us reads out loud.  Or sometimes we all read our separate books.  We always save the last 10 minutes though to talk about what we read.  I love hearing what my kids favorite part of the story was or if it is a chapter book I like hearing what they think is going to happen next.  And the best is when they ask me questions. I don't always know the answers, but it is an amazing feeling to see them wanting to  more.  To know they really enjoy and are engaged in the books we read.  It is such an awesome way to end our nights.
Thanks to Zonderkidz I now have 2 more books I can read with my boys!  Ones that I know our going to endure amazing conversations afterwards and will get my boys asking questions.

Young Reader's Edition
Is Jesus real? Was he actually born in a stable? Did he really come back from the dead? Based on the adult bestseller, Case for Christ, with more than 5 million copies sold, join in this incredible search for the truth about Jesus, including the answers that rocked the world of investigative reporter and international bestselling author Lee Strobel.
My review:
I love this book!  Not only does it help me answer the tough questions my boys ask, but it also gives me questions to ask them.  It gets them thinking and makes them really pay attention when we read because they want to know the answers when I ask them.  It also explains things in a way that kids can understand.

Comfort Print,  Hardcover
The NIV Boys’ Bible was created especially for boys ages 8 to 12 to help them grow into the young men God wants them to be. Fun in-text features allow boys to dig deep into the Word and learn about amazing people, facts, and stories of the Bible.
My review:
So I have read the Bible with my boys so many times.  We are now at a point when I get out the Bible my kiddos throw out requests. Jonah is a favorite for them and Samson!  We have a great interactive family Bible that makes reading the Bible really fun and relatable for my boys.  I like the little tidbits at the bottom of some of the pages.  The Whats The Bid Deal and Makin in real areas really help us to dive deeper and helps my kids understand a little better.  The Makin it real area is most likely my favorite.  It puts the actions and words of the Bible into real time perception and  makes apply the  message of the Bible to everyday life.
