Space Jam A New Legacy

You know sometimes how it seems like forever to the sequel of a movie is released?  But then when it finally comes out the wait was so worth it?

That is totally the case with Space Jam A New Legacy.  This sequel has been 20+ years in the making and was so worth the wait.

On Oct 5, “Space Jam: A New Legacy” became available on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD.

“Space Jam: A New Legacy” will also continue to be available to own in high definition and standard definition from participating digital retailers. Additionally, Warner Bros. will continue its partnership with Nifty’s, the social NFT platform, to introduce a second collection of limited-edition NFTs inspired by the film. “Space Jam: A New Legacy” will also be available on Movies Anywhere.  This transformational journey is a manic mashup of two worlds that reveals just how far some parents will go to connect with their kids. When LeBron and his young son Dom are trapped in a digital space by a rogue A.I., LeBron must get them home safe by leading Bugs, Lola Bunny and the whole gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes to victory over the A.I.’s digitized champions on the court: a powered-up roster of professional basketball stars as you’ve never seen them before. It’s Tunes versus Goons in the highest-stakes challenge of his life, that will redefine LeBron’s bond with his son and shine a light on the power of being yourself. The ready-for-action Tunes destroy convention, supercharge their unique talents and surprise even “King” James by playing the game their own way.

My Review:

The first Space Jam will always be my favorite, it was one of my favorite movies as a child and will always have a special place in my heart.  I have to say though Space Jam A New Legacy was just as fun.  I loved that there was the under lying message of accepting people for who they are.  And it was fun to see LeBron and Dom's relationship grow.  The graphics were def. epic and I loved that not only did we get to see Bugs and friends, but we also got to see several other WB favorites.  When the big game started half the fun for my boys was yelling out "fans" they recognized.  The film had several laugh out loud moments. I also liked the plot was entertaining enough for my hubby and I to enjoy without being so in depth that my kids couldn't enjoy it.  It def. hit the mark at being a great family film.
