I was given products in this post for the purpose of review. I was not paid to write this review. All opinions are my own.
During the holidays I go to several houses. One house in particular I dread going to because that part of my family is toxic. Actually, I'm taking a stand this year and skipping that party... GO ME!!! But out of all the parties I think my New Year's party may just be my favorite. Why you may be wondering? Well besides the fact I am epic, I also have lots of food and drinks! The secret to a great party is def. the food and drinks. Now don't get me wrong, the games are fun as well, as are the party favors.
This year I'm even more excited because I get to make several new drinks! Check out the recipes below. Please note most of them are adult only, but the kids do like to get in on the fun. So, I always make them their own drink in a designated container.
Ginger Bourbon Chai
Ingredients: 2 oz. Chai Latte Mix
3 oz. Reed’s Real Ginger Ale
1.5 oz. Bourbon Ground Cinnamon
Directions: In a cocktail shaker with ice, add Chai Latte Mix, Reed’s Real Ginger Ale and Bourbon. Pour slowly into sugar-rimmed glass and top with ground cinnamon.
Blood Orange Champagne Big Batch Cocktail
Ingredients: 1 750ml bottle of cold dry sparkling wine
3 cups of cold Reed's Zero Sugar Real Ginger Ale
2 Tbsp. orange liqueur (i.e. Triple Sec)
Directions: Pour the sparkling wine into a carafe, then slowly add Reed’s Real Ginger Ale and orange liqueur. Stir until mixed thoroughly. Serve with orange slices to add a pop of color to each glass and enjoy!
Peppermint Cranberry Mocktail
1 oz. Schnapps
Mint Leaves (Fresh)
1 tbsp Lime Juice
Virgil's Zero Sugar Grapefruit Soda
Peppermint Candy Cane (for garnish)
Directions: Muddle 5-10 fresh cranberries in a glass. Add 1 Tbsp of lime juice and 1 crushed mint leaf. Top with Virgil's Zero Sugar Grapefruit Soda and garnish with fresh mint and candy cane. Cheers!
And last but not least the kids drink
24 oz of Reed's Real Ginger Ale
6 cups of fruit punch
1 handful of gummies (bears are normally the best)
Directions: Just pour it the juice and ginger ale together. Add the gummies bears to each glass after poured. Otherwise, they go to the bottom of the container.
