Back-To-School gives chaos a whole new meaning.  After a summer a relaxation and minimum routine its a bit of a shock to suddenly be on an early sleep schedule, early wake up routine, all the sports that start back up and now the sudden onslaught of homework.  It goes without saying that it hard to keep it all in order and to get it done on time.
As we all know Homework is super important.  It helps to build a foundation for success and needs to be done!
I have discovered that having a planner is a huge help.  Not only do you have a written record of everything, but you can also keep it in order.  Making sure you never forget to do anything and that you also do it on time.

With so many choices though its hard to choose one.  So today I'm going to tell you a bit about the Academic Planner:  A Tool for time management and why I think it will stand out above the rest and become your new favorite product!
What is the number one complaint that parents have when it comes to their children and homework? That they can’t manage their time! Homework assignments are missed due to poor planning (or no planning!) and balancing after school activities with homework is a huge struggle.
The “Academic Planner: A Tool for Time Management” is a weekly planner with pages that line up with the index on a subject-by-subject basis, creating an easy and natural method for students to record and review their weekly schedules.  The planner includes space to enter after-school activities and weekend commitments so that students can schedule their homework during “available” blocks of time.  This unique grid system quickly reveals both scheduled and available blocks of time, facilitating weekly time management and planning strategies.  But most importantly, it puts the student in control!
It is perfect students ages 8 to 18, it comes in 4 fashion covers to fit all students’ tastes. And the durable vinyl covers and binding stands up to students’ school bags and lockers.

The Planner start out with a guide.  This was nice because it suggest great ways to use the planner and how to get the most from it.  Next came the calendar.  How many times has a teacher said "Okay that is due in 2 weeks..."  Now instead of trying to figure out the date they can just flip to the front of the planner and see when "2 weeks" would be.
This was followed by a nice page for notes.  A Notes page if located before each month. As is a monthly calendar.

Making it perfect to jot something down for that particular month.
When you open the planner 1 week is spread out over 2 side by side pages.  Leaving more then enough room to write down assignments or plans.  Each page also has blank lines to write notes.  And at the corner it has a small month calendar.
The page is set up with 8 rows and 6 columns.  The first 5 columns represent the days of the week and the last is for Saturday, Sunday and Next week/notes.

With so much space it each to write down everything.  And the organization makes it even easier to keep track of everything.

In the back of the planner is a pocket folder for store loose papers.  My little guy brings home a lot of sign up sheet.  I thought this would be the perfect place for those :)

The planner has thought of everything.  It will make remember assignments and schedules so much easier.
Here is  a list of all the amazing aspects:

• Unique vertical index page at the front of the planner enables students to record their class

subjects (7 subject boxes) only once. Eliminates forgetfulness and frustration.

• Weekly planner pages line up with the index on a subject-by-subject basis, creating an easy

• Days of the week are listed horizontally across the planner. Makes recording entries simple,

developing time management skills.

• Includes space to enter after-school activities and weekend commitments. These accurate

visual cues of available time allow students to plan their weekly workload and, as a result, feel

more in control of their schedules.

weekly time management and planning strategies.
