About “Coco
In Disney•Pixar’s Coco,Pixar Animation Studios’ 19th feature film, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt)—despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Héctor (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel's family history.
In high school I took 2 years on Spanish.  Not only was I taught their beautiful language, but I also learned quite a bit about their culture.  The Day of The Dead was always so fascinating to me.  Just the way this beautiful culture honored their ancestors .  Disney's COCO did an awesome job showing what this day is really about.  I loved watching it with my kiddos.  Not only was the story line great, but it also got my kiddos asking questions!  The characters were likeable and had depth.   I also love that COCO taught us morals.  A long time ago, Miguel's great-great-grandmother, matriarch Imelda (Alanna Ubach) was married to a musician who left her and their young daughter high and dry! He left and never returned.

Imelda turned to shoe-making to support herself and her daughter, and she turned shoe-making into a family business. She also began a ban on any and all music in the family - no singing, no guitar-playing, no musicians!
And she enforces this rule always!

But all poor Miguel wants is to play his music and pursue his dreams. Miguel does practice in secret though, watching old movies of the great Ernesto and teaching himself how to play, and decides against his Grandmothers wishes to enter a talent show for the Day of the Dead. Several events however result in Miguel stealing Ernesto's guitar from the mausoleum, and the next thing he knows is that he's suddenly an invisible ghost to the living - but the returning dead can see him and he can now see them. Which in turn sets him on a journey across a mystical bridge from the land of the living to the land of the dead, a wondrously beautiful place but one from which he must quickly find a way to return before he ends up becoming one of the dead himself and having to stay there forever. He's helped along the way by a down-on-his-luck denizen named Hector (Gael García Bernal), who's in danger of being forgotten, and a number of other characters he encounters. His quest ultimately requires him solving a generations-old mystery and setting right a wrong that occurred long before he was born.

We loved it!  It is a must watch movie for all families.

Delta Children

I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not paid to write this review
I remember a very long time spending a few minutes alone with my hubby.  We talked about everything and nothing at all.....  Now with 2 boys in school, sports and who have hobbies those moments alone are just a fond memory!  Okay so maybe I am being a bit melodramatic, but I don't get much time alone with my hubby.  My boys hate being alone in their room and normally just bring their toys or games to living room to play...  Well unless of course I am in the kitchen or my room then they bring their stuff there!  I draw the line at the bathroom, lol.
Well this weekend that all changed with my hubby finally set up their Delta Children furniture.  My youngest son who was sleeping in my childhood bed got his very own Batman bed!  And my boys also got a cars activity center to share!  Now I can't get them to come out of their room.

Let me tell you a bit about both of them:

If you are like me and have a hard time getting your little one to sleep in his own bed you def. want to check out this super cool Batman bed.
Even superheroes need a comfy place to sleep—and the Batman Upholstered Twin Bed from Delta Children is just right for the caped crusader in your life. Designed to add sleek style to any Batcave, this kids’ twin bed features a headboard and footboard adorned with the Bat logo, graphics of the Gotham City skyline and 3D applique of Batman’s silhouette. About Batman: Dark Knight. Caped Crusader. Sworn protector of Gotham City. Batman goes by many names, but he has only one mission—become the world’s greatest weapon against crime. His powers? It was so easy to build!  My hubby kept pushing it off, but when he finally did put it together, it took all of 10 minutes.  The only tool we need was a screw driver.  And I love that once it is together how low it sits to the ground.  My Quinn is a klutz and tends to trip over air.  So I prefer the distance from the floor to his feet to be as short as possible.  Also this makes it easier for him to make his own bed. The bed as mentioned above can hold 350/lbs.  My son only weighs 47/lbs, but there is some days when my son wants to have movie night in his room.  So my hubby or I plop down onto his bed, normally accompanied by a dog or 2.  And we watch w/e horrible... I mean delightful movie the boys picked for us to watch.  So the fact it can hold a lot of weight is great, because lets face it a kids bed is so much more than just a place to sleep!  My son had all my dogs on the bed the other day pretending it was the Batmobile.
The leather header, footer and railing make cleaning it so easy!  I wish I could say I only need to wipe dust off, but the truth is my kids smear all sort of grosses on their beds!  An easily clean surface is a must in my house.   Oh and speaking of the headboard I love that it is tall and comfortable.  I spend several hours a week reading to my boys in their room.  This header provides a perfect place for me to lean back!
Finally I love the attention to detail.  My son can't get over the fact he is sleeping in an actually Batman bed!  As I said he even pretends it is the Batmobile.  Delta Children gets kids, it helps them to use their imagination.

As I said before this was only one of the amazing new additions to my boys room this weekend.  They also got their very own activity center!

You may not know this, but my family is all about the art!  My home is decorated in things my boys and I painted or made.  We spend the first Saturday of every month at our local walk in art center open house.  We take painting classes and even have painting days at home.  My hubby handles all the sports in our family, but I take car of the creative part.  My kids LOVE LOVE LOVE this Activity Center Easel.  Not only does it give them a place to paint, but they also have a area to do their homework, store their art supplies and in the back they can even put their art pads and books.

Plus let not forget the perfect height stool that came with it!  My boys are in love.  I like the fact that it was pretty easy to build.  Not as easy as the bed.  Also it is durable.  Once we had it together their was no wobbling.  My kiddos need this when I paint it is a relaxing, when my kids paint you would think they hate their canvas with the force they use lol.

Time to get crafty! Designed to help your little one express their creative side, the Disney/Pixar Cars Activity Center from Delta Children provides the space and storage your budding artist needs. The 3-in-1 design features a magnetic dry-erase board that can be positioned for your child to sit and draw with markers, or stowed upright to reveal a spacious tabletop to complete craft projects. On the other side of the easel a fabric toy bin and two tiers of storage pockets offers convenient compartments for art supplies, toys and books. Adorned with colorful Cars graphics of Lightning McQueen, Jackson and Cruz, this Activity Center makes everyday endeavors more inspiring.
About Cars: The ultimate speed racer, Lightning McQueen, loves going faster than fast! A four-time Piston Cup winner and World Grand Prix favorite, McQueen’s cool and confident attitude paired with a supercharged V-8 engine, free-flowing dual exhaust and speeds that reach 200 MPH makes him the wheel deal. Off the track, he spends most of his time in Radiator Springs—a small town along Route 66—with his best bud, Tow Mater and girlfriend, Sally Carrera.
