The New Adventures of Peter Rabbit

First off I want to say each of the Tales were cute, fun and perfect
for little kids. I personally really liked the characters and how adventurous they were. Each endearing Enchanted Tales story is full of fun sing along songs, cute heart-warming characters, epic adventures and lots of kid friendly humor :).  They bring all the classics to DVD.

Whipped cream topping recipe

Whipped cream topping recipe

This is one of my favorite recipes.  The main reason is because its so yummy, but I also love how versatile it is.
You can use this as a cake icing, strawberries and whip cream and so much more.  I like putting it between 2 chocolate chip cookies!  So good :3
And the recipe I'm about to give you makes a lot.  I was able to icing a cake, give Quinn a strawberry snack, make a few chocolate chip cookie sandwiches and I even have a
small amount left in a Tupperware container. (Which I froze)

Oh and yes I know my cake is not pretty, but it did taste good!

Whipped Cream topping
Need:
2 Cups Heavy Cream
1 tsp vanilla ext.
4 tbsp Powdered Sugar

Directions:
In a large bowl beat cream until it forms soft peaks.
add the vanilla and sugar and beat until it forms stiff peaks..

Then your done!!
Easy, right?!?!?
If you are wondering what a "stiff peak" looks like see my photo below.  This is when I was done mixing and getting ready to icing my cake.

My review:
I live in PA so this Valentine's day I was snowed in.  Well not really "snowed" in, but our roads were horrible and I didn't want to go out unless 100% necessary.  So my hubby and I stayed home.  On Valentine's Day Fedex came to my house and delivered a package.  I bet you can imagine how surprised I was to see 'Be My Valentine'.  It was perfect since I was staying home I though what the heck lets make it a movie night!
Its a cute movie that was perfect for our little date night.  The story plot is a bit slower though.  So if you like fast paced this movie is not for you!

Bite Me By Shelly Laurenston

Disclaimer:  I was given an  digital ARC of this book to facilitate this review.

Bite Me By Shelly Laurenston

Synopsis:
Livy Kowalski has no time for idiots. When you shapeshift into a honey badger, getting through life's irritants is a finely honed skill. Until she gets stuck housing her crazy cousin and dealing with her dad's untimely and unexplained demise.
That's where Vic Barinov comes in--or his house does. Vic can't step outside without coming back to find Livy devouring his honey stash. It gets his animal instincts all riled up. But he'll have to woo her at high speed: all hell is breaking loose, and Livy is leading the charge. . .
This book will release March 25, 2014

My review:
I should start off by telling you I'm addicted to reading.  It normally only takes me a day or 2 to finish an entire book....  Well that depends on my little guys.  Some days they insist I can't read at all lol
But the truth is I love to read!  A few years ago I stuck mainly to historical.  Then one day I thought what the heck I may as well dive into paranormal.  So I picked up a Shelly Laurenston and Cynthia Eden book.  Hundreds of dollars later my shelves are now over flowing with Paranormal books.
I wont fib this review was part greed on my part.  I couldn't wait until the release date for Laurenston's new book.  So I applied to get an ARC book.  You have no clue how excited I was to see I got approved!!  Normally I refrain from doing book reviews because I always give away spoilers.... by accident.  I promise to be very careful and not give away in this review.
Shelly Laurenston has a way of writing, with her books every single page is filled with her wit and humor.  Every time I read one of her books I find myself laughing out loud, I love her humor and the way her characters interact.  I have read every title she ever wrote.  Both under her Shelly Laurenston name and her GA Aiken's dragon series.  I could spend the entire post talking about how much I love her books, but I want to focus on her upcoming book Bite Me.
We meant both Livy and Vic in her previous book: Wolf With Benefits.  This book begins with Livy at her father's funeral.  Vic assumes she will need his comfort after losing her father.  But little does he know Honey Badgers don't grieve like other shifters.  Soon Vic finds himself in a fast paced relationship with a woman who doesn't hold back.  Being a honey Badger Livy has no fear and we soon find out her family doesn't either!  I loved meeting all her kin and their crazy ways.  Vic understands Livy in a way that most don't.  For Livy this is a promblem, she is an artist and distractions are not welcomed...  Even if they are in the form of a sexy Hybrid.
I don't want to give away to many details, but for those of you who have been reading the pride series I will let you know Frankie is still at large.  (He is the man running the illegal shifter hunting.)   All of our favorites are in this story too!  Mitch, Sissy, Bo, Dee-Ann and everyone else!  Oh we even get to see a little bit of Eggie!!

Shelly Laurenston is an amazing author who draws you into a book and makes you want to stay.  Her story lines are never boring and every single page is filled with humor and wit.
As I said earlier I have read every single book she wrote both under Laurenston and Aiken.  Her shifters and the best among the paranormal world :).

Oh and another thing I love is after each of her books I go nuts trying to figure out who is going to get the next book.
I wont fib I really hoping for Reece, Rory or even Livy's cousin Jake....  Hmmm  Shen (a new character) would make a great book too.  And I'm always hoping Stein Van Holtz gets the chance to redeem himself....
See what I mean!!  To many great secondary characters!  I want them all to get a happy ending :)
Okay I better finish this review I'm starting to babble hehe

If you wish to learn more about Shelly and her amazing books please see my links below:

And if you get the chance make sure you check out her books.  She happens to be one of my favorite authors and I promise you will not regret it!

Winter skin stinks!  I'm sure everyone knows what I'm talking about, that dry itchy skin that drives us crazy.  What use to be my favorite fuzzy sweater is now considered a tortured device!  During these cold winter months my skin can use all the help it can get.  The new Dial Vitamin Boost Body wash gives my skin a daily boost of vitamins.  Which is a huge help in keeping my skin clean and healthy.  The advanced formula has a moisturizing Vitamin Complex, which aids to draw moisture directly to your skin leaving your skin feeling so soft.
My review:

My skin adores the new Dial Vitamin Boost Body wash!  Not only does it leave my skin feeling soft, but also refreshed and healthy.  I was personally able to review the Lotion Infused, but they also have an oil infused body wash as part of the Vitamin collection.

Hello Pull-Ups Goodbye Diapers House Party

Disclaimer:  I was given products in this post for the purpose of hosting a party.  I was not paid in anyway to host this event.

Hello Pull-Ups Goodbye Diapers House Party

This is the 2nd time I was selected to host a House Party!  What happens when your selected is House Party sends you a box full of stuff to host a super fun party.
This time the party theme was Hello Pull-Ups, Goodbye Diapers!
First lets get a look at the party kit.

Quinn is in the process of getting potty trained.  So this party was the little boost he needed to start getting serious.  He wanted to show all his party guest that he was a big boy!

We played potty games and invited friends.  Some of his friends were also going through potty training and a few like his brother were a bit older so they could offer advice to the younger kids.
According to my oldest son the trick of potty training is thinking about the cool stickers moms gives.  I had to laugh.  My oldest the potty chart did work, with Quinn he seems to think he gets a sticker for just sitting on the potty(without using it).  My little cousin also taught us a super cute potty song that had a little dance!  The younger kids loved it :).

When the quest arrived everyone (age appropriate) was given a pull-up.  With the help of mommy they put them on and we the party began.
The kiddos were each able to easily pull down their own Pull-up and after they used the potty they were treated to one of the good packages above!
We played games ate lots of good food and had a blast!
Thank you house party for allowing me to host this party with my family!!

Moon Man review

Disclaimer: I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not in anyway paid to write this review.  All opinions are my own.

Moon Man review

I know quite a few of you seen the photo above and thought oh I remember that book!  I remember as a child I loved it and was delighted to think that there truly was a man who lived on the moon.  Well for those of you who loved the book I got some exciting news.... ITS NOW A DVD!
When I got the email asking me to review I was so excited, because like I said as a child I loved this story and the fact its getting a new life in the form a dvd is so exciting :)

About the DVD:
Based on the children’s book by award-winning author and illustrator Tomi Ungerer, MOON MAN premiered at the Annecy International Film Festival and won the hearts of children and adults alike.  MOON MAN won the Book Week prize and has been translated into 12 languages since it was first published in the 1960s.
The film adaption captures the simple, vibrant essence of Ungerer’s drawings and his endearing story.
 Synopsis:
The man on the moon is bored. One day, he hitches a ride to Earth on the tails of a passing comet.  Seen as an “attack from outer space” that sets the alarm bells ringing in the President's headquarters.  He starts to explore the fantastical creatures and sights of this new planet. But soon things begin to go bad the Moon Man's absence from his post means that all the world's children are unable to sleep. Before the President can capture him, they must join forces to return him to his rightful place in the sky.

The story line is simply beautiful in its simplicity.  I love how it plays on the imagination and makes it seem as anything is possible.  It places that tiny spark of magic in kids imaginations and since watching the movie my little guy keeps looking at the moon and asking me what I think the man on the moon is doing now.  I have to smile, because I remember as a child asking the same question.  This heartwarming beloved story is a must read and now that its in DVD form its also a must watch!

My review:
One thing my family loves to do in the winter time is have movie night.  In PA its way to cold to be outdoors all the time.  So we normally make Saturday our family movie night.  With 2 young boys I have to make sure the movies are family friendly and My Dog The Champion is for sure a family film.
This movie is not only heart warming, but its also inspirational.  My hubby and I loved it as much as the boys did.  We were both Friday Night lights fans so we were excited to see one of our favorite cast members in this film!!  The story line of a young girl being taking away from the life she knows and thrown into the unknown.  Instead of being defeated she makes an unlikely friend in the farm dog.  Pushing both of them to new heights and proving anything is possible.
I loved this movie and I know it would make the perfect family film for anyone :)
