Emjoi Micro-Pedi pedicure tool!

Emjoi Micro-Pedi pedicure tool!

After having my boys I noticed quite a few changes with myself.  I don't know if these are from having children or age, but in the past several years a few things have changed.
My weight of course was the first thing, next was suddenly allergies and sinus issues and also I noticed I have feet issues now too!

Weight is a constant struggle and something I have to conquer on my own.
Sinus and allergies are just something I learned to manage.
The last of my changes is my feet, after having kiddos they have become callused and dried.  I don't know if this is a normal change after having kids or if it is just because I am getting older.

I have tried pedicures, but after going for a few times I realized it was a luxury I couldn't afford.
I began to invest in lotions, tools and even foot soaks.  All of which helped a bit, but not a lot.

A few weeks ago my dad kept going on about this new roller he found for his feet.  I gave an eye roll thinking, yeah another tool to add to my collection.
Than I was contacted to review the Emjoi Micro-Pedi pedicure tool.
Not the same brand as my dad, but the same kind of tool.
After a brief hesitation, I thought what the heck why not!

It arrived in the mail within a few days.
After opening it I was pretty impressed with how easy it is to use.
I stuck on a DVR episodes of Vikings and got to work.
All I had to do was insert batteries.
Remove protective cover
Turn on
and run over the dried callused part of my feet.
Fair warning you want to keep moving if you stay in one place to long or push down it does hurt.

Okay so anyone whom has ever had feet issues before know about the white powdery stuff.  As gross as it sounds this is basically the dead skin cells being removed.
With the Emjoi Micro-Pedi pedicure tool there was A LOT of white powdery residue.
If you think this is bad, trust me it is not.  It is just a sign the tool was doing its job.

So after a few minutes I stopped, I had to get a wet paper towel and clean the bottom of my foot....

And I was pretty freaking impressed!
I wont lie there was still some crack, those took a few more sessions to get rid of.  What impressed me was there was no dry callused skin.
Below are before and after photos of my feet.
As I mentioned after the first use I still had a few crack along my heels, but with each use they got smaller and smaller.

The photo above was taking after just a one time use.  The top photo being the "before" and the bottom being the "after."

Tween Seat Belt PSA

Tween Seat Belt PSA

Parenting a tween involves compromise. But here’s one rule that should not be up for debate – the car doesn't move until everyone is wearing a seat belt. So if you say it, and if we buckle up ourselves,
your tween will buckle up. And if they don’t, that’s a fight worth having. It might just save your tween’s life.
The car doesn’t move until everyone is wearing a seat belt. If you say it, and if you buckle up, your tween will
buckle up.

Did you know that one child passenger age 8 – 14 is injured every 8 minutes in a car crash?
From 2009 – 2013, 1,522 kids ages 8-14 died in car, SUV and van crashes. Of those who died,
almost half were unbelted.  As children get older they’re sometimes less likely to buckle up.
The percentage of child passengers who die while riding unrestrained generally increases with age
and is most pronounced among 13 and 14-year-olds regardless of seating position.

Buckling-up is an important habit to instill in children at a young age. Parents can lead by example by wearing a seat belt themselves and by insisting on seat belt use for every passenger in their vehicle. Seat belts and safety seats, if used correctly, dramatically reduce the risk of fatality or injury to children.

I don't want anyone to panic, but in case you didn't know Mother's Day is only 2 weeks away!  You only have two weeks to find the perfect gift for the person who gave you life, the person who made you who you are!  The person who will love you no matter what.
No pressure :) lol

In all seriousness though Mother's Day really is only two weeks away and if you are anything like me, than your mom means the world to you.  I want to make sure to get her the perfect gift.
I always try to get her something she will use, but that also has sentimental value.

Some of you may not know this about me, but I love old tv shows.  As a child I use to watch them all the time with my mom and dad. All in the Family, Sanford and Son, the Jeffersons and so many more.
One of my favorites has always been and always will be the I Love Lucy show!
I can remember watching Lucy even when I was really small.  My mom said when I was little I would call her the silly red head lady.
I still have a VCR in my house so I can watch my Lucy VHS tapes.  Which include but are not limited to "The Lost episodes", The Long Long Trailer and so many other episodes.
I even have an I Love Lucy barbie!
Till this day my favorite episode is still the Vitameatavegamin!
The thing that makes Lucy a classic is she is just funny, she isn't vulgar she doesn't cut others down.  She is just funny and as a  younger me would say silly.  She is good clean family humor.

So enough with my fan girl Lucy moment.  For those of you wondering what any of this has to do with Mother's Day I'm excited to tell you about the all new Lucy DVD

Brandon Jr is really into Minecraft.  He likes being able to make his own world and having the ability to get creative.
A year ago the Minecraft frenzy hit my home hard!  We have the game for two different systems and also have several toys.  My boys even know what their names/titles are and every time I ask them were their green monster is they both roll their eyes at me and say, "They are creepers mom!!"
I personally love the game and I like that my kiddos get to build their own world and really use their imagination.

We are always adding new Minecraft to their collection.  As I said I love that them game gets them to be creative and recently it has gone even further and makes reading fun for them!!
Escape From the Overworld

Inspired by the bestselling PC game of all time, Danica Davidson delivers a tale of friendship, courage, and adventure.
Stevie is in for a big surprise while building his treehouse: he’s first attacked by a creeper, and then must take on a group of zombies! He feels a bit down on himself from the day he is having, so when he finds a portal into a brand-new world, he’s willing to take his chances.
He steps into it and is suddenly in the room of a sixth-grade girl Maison, who’s a talented builder. Stevie is shocked by how different this world is, and Maison takes him under her wing.

Sadly their fun is short lived when they soon realize Stevie wasn't the only thing to come from his world!  Zombies have also made their way out of the portal! More and more creatures are slipping out and wreaking havoc on a world that has no idea how to handle zombies, creepers, giant spiders, and the like.

Stevie and Maison must come together to put them back!

My boys LOVE it!  My 7 year old was able to read it on his own and each night we read a little more before bed.  I got excited when my boys rushed me along to get to story time faster.  Most of them time they enjoy, but for once with this book they were ecstatic  and couldn't wait to see what happened next.
The adventure is fun and perfect for any Minecraft fan, but also parents will adore it because it teaches life lessons.
Everything from making mistakes, growing up and so much more

My mom has adored this show from the very beginning.  She continually begged me to watch it with her, but sadly being a horrible daughter I never got the chance to watch with her.
It wasn't until I was asked to review the series that I knew I would be able to make it up to her.  So over the weekend I made her up a huge "I'm sorry" movie basket with candy, popcorn, soda and other goodies.  Than I gave her Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Series and a coupon (homemade of course) for 2 hours of no excuses given watch time :)
5 1/2 hours later I couldn't stop watching!!!  I had to force myself to stop and go relieve my hubby from kid duty!
I love this show it is heartwarming, the story draws you in and doesn't let you go and you find yourself unable to look away.
I love the acting and the constant feeling of hope!  The plot keeps you interested enough that it never becomes boring.
I thought for sure after a few "solved" undeliverables the plot would repeat itself.  It never did each story was fresh and had me hoping for a happy ending!
It is a inspiring show for the entire family.

Ten One-Hour Episodes of the Award Winning Hallmark Series Starring Eric Mabius Arrives On DVD And Digital HD April 21

Handwritten letters change lives in the popular, award winning drama, Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Series.
Starring Eric Mabius (“Ugly Betty”), and featuring must-see appearances from special guest stars, including Carol Burnett (“The Carol Burnett Show”), Della Reese (“Touched By An Angel”), Valerie Harper (“Rhoda”), Valerie Bertinelli (“Hot in Cleveland”), and Marilu Henner (“Taxi”), it’s easy to see why Entertainment Weekly called the series “an instant classic.” Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Series is a wonderful combination of romance, comedy and drama for the whole family. The ten one-hour episodes follow four postal workers, the Postables, who transform themselves into an elite team of Dead Letter detectives to track down intended recipients of undelivered mail. Their missions take them out of the office and into an unpredictable world where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures by arriving late but somehow on time. The team includes the group’s leader, charming Oliver O’Toole (Mabius), a man of faith who upholds traditional values in his life and work; Shane McInerney (Kristin Booth), a technophile who brings 21st century sensibility to the group; free-spirited, “girl next door” Rita Haywith (Crystal Lowe) who has a photographic memory; and lovable Norman Dorman (Geoff Gustafson), a master in conventional research methods. By the end, it becomes evident that the missions of the POstables aren’t just making an impact on the lives of others; they’re being changed, too.

Initially airing on the Hallmark Channel as an original movie, the season of “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” boosted the Hallmark Channel’s ranking as the #5 rated cable network on Sundays from 8-9 p.m. “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is executive produced by Martha Williamson, best known as the executive producer of “Touched by an Angel” and beloved for her signature brand of family entertainment. The narratives of the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” franchise continue as an enhanced two-hour format on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. “Signed, Sealed, Delivered From Paris With Love” (wt) is slated to debut June 2015 and is the first of three "Signed Sealed Delivered" movies being produced for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. “Signed, Sealed, Delivered From Paris With Love” (wt) explores the mystery of love when Oliver’s estranged wife suddenly returns from Paris the same day he and his Postables team, Shane, Rita and Norman, deliver divorce papers to a happy couple.

Teen Titans Go!: Appetite for Disruption Season 2 Part 1 review

Teen Titans Go!: Appetite for Disruption Season 2 Part 1 review

Several weeks ago I was in my room getting ready for the day when I heard my youngest soprano singing "The Burrito!"
I stopped doing what I was doing and started to walk out the hall at which time I heard my oldest rapping "Buns, Ketchup, Pickle, Cheese Put that patty in between, It's Burger! What What!"
I quickened my pace thinking for sure they finally gone nuts....
Now at the end of the hallway and walking into the main room, I had to stop because I was laughing to hard.  To this day I still giggle whenever I think about it.
My youngest was raising his hands in the air and mournfully soprano singing "The Burrito!" as my oldest was doing some goofy hip thrusting and rapping "Buns, Ketchup, Pickle, Cheese Put that patty in between, It's Burger! What What!"
It took me at least 10 minutes to catch my breath, but when I did I asked them "What, just what?"
With huge eyes rolls they told me "DUHHH mom Teen Titans!"  and I smiled.  As someone whom has watched several episodes with them I adore this show!  Whether its Robin desperately loving Star Fire, Raven and her sarcasm or Beast Boy and Cyborg getting into trouble you just can't help laughing.

We watched the show a lot on Cartoon network, but when I was asked to review the all new dvd I just had too!!  Unlimited access to one of our favorite show!!  Yes please :)

Mr. Butt
Man Person
I See You
Salty Codgers
Love Monsters
Baby Hands
Caramel Apples
Sandwich Thief
Money Grandma
The Mask
Slumber Party
Serious Business
Boys vs. Girls
Body Adventure
Road Trip
The Best Robin
Mouth Hole
Hot Garbage

I have seen many of these and have to say they are just as funny on DVD as they are on TV!  Several days ago (3 days before Easter) me and both boys came down with a horrible cold, which for me turned into a sinus infection.
It felt like our Spring vacation was ruined, but thanks to Teen Titans Go!: Appetite for Disruption we had a blast.
The first episode Mr. Butt starts with Star Fires sister tricking her to taking her place in prison.  The rest of the Titans take it upon themselves to change her sister and make her a better person.  We were laughing the entire time (when we weren't coughing for our sickness of course) and couldn't get enough.
We literally watched both DVDs in one sitting.  Sandwich thief was my favorite when Robin's beloved best sandwich ever goes missing and he interrogates the entire Titan team.  I wont give it away, but be prepared for a shocking twist on who really stole his sandwich!!

This show may be a cartoon, but it is something the entire family will giggle at and enjoy.
