Little Tikes Fish 'n Splash Water Table

Disclaimer:  I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not paid in anyway to write this review.  All opinions are my own.

Summer vacation is here and this mama has a whole agenda of fun things to do! Over the next several weeks I will be making posts not only on products, but also recipes, games, crafts and so much more. Click the photo below to see my entire Summer Fun Guide and  enjoy the review below.

Little Tikes Fish 'n Splash Water Table

My boys love fishing. We live in PA so thankfully we have lots of options. Also every year my dad hosts a Make-A-Wish fishing rodeo to raise money for the child his girls softball team is sponsoring.

Needless to say my boys help set up and spend the entire day fishing.  Brandon Jr was lucky and caught a tagged fished this year, the prize he choose was of course a new fishing rod....  You know the old one was an entire year old, he needed an updated one lol.

Now I am going to let you in on a little secret.... I HATE FISHING!  I hate the smell of fish, the bait grosses me out (I swear every year I get power bait under my nails.) When I see my hubby take a hook from a fishes mouth I get queasy and to really top it off I am a horrible fisher-women.  I can't tie a hook, I have no clue how to weight a line and when my boys catch fish some little part of me feels horrible for the poor little guy.  How am I suppose to know it is not a little Nemo and somewhere his pop is looking for him?!?!?
;)

So during the day when my dad and hubby are at work the boys can't fish.  At least they can't fish for real fish thanks to Little Tikes Fish 'n Splash Water Table my boys can now pretend fish in the back yard!
I love how Little Tikes always seems to know exactly what kids love and in someway incorporate that into everyday play.

As always I feel the need to mention how easily Little Tikes products assemble!

Literally no tools needed for the Fish 'n Splash Water Table everything simply snaps into place.
And don't let this fool you into thinking their products are flimsy I still have all Brandon's fisher price toys from 2007 when he was a baby!  Heck I think my mom still has my Cozy Coupe (My brother and I use to call it a Flintstone Car since you need to use your feet :).)

Okay so we know the water table features fishing, but that isn't all.  Each fish (and other sea creature) has a number to help promote counting.  Brandon Jr is helping Quinn with his number so he would tell Quinn to catch a certain numbered fish.

Also the table has a cute fishing rod and little net to really give it that authentic fishing feel.

Next up was the fishing bowl at the top.  The boys loved filling this up and then dumping it down only the spinning lily pad!  Again we practiced numbers and made a game out of how many "cups" it would take before it tipped out.

Now as you know Brandon is 7 so I didn't think this would really be his age department.  I was so wrong.  He loves the fishing and even likes making a game out of the dumping water, but his favorite part was the launcher!  Yes you read that right there is a super cute launcher that can be used to launch the fish and other creatures.

Both boys had a blast with this and could be heard giggling as their little water buddies went flying.

Some other things I really enjoyed was the fact I can pull up a plug to drain it.  I don't have to tip the table over, simply pull up and let the water out.

There was so many different things to do it was great for multiply kids to play at once.

I think it holds 7 gallons of water so there was a lot of water for the kids to splash in.

And parents it kept them entertained for hours!  I was able to do some gardening.  I even got the chance to pull some weeds, it got to the point where I had to take them inside because it was getting dark!

The World According to Rufus

The World According to Rufus

If my dog could write I think this would be the letter he would send me.
Dear mom,
There seems to be some confusion, I am writing you this letter to let you know the error of your ways.
When you are napping on the couch and I jump on you it is because I have not seen you move in awhile I wanted to make sure you were okay....

Yes I know I did it twice in two minutes, I like to be thorough.
Okay lets not fib, I just want cuddles.

Oh and you know when I am trying to chill out on the chair and you tell me I stink to get down.
(Which by the way mom is kinda rude)
I always assume it is because you want me to move to the couch..  And invite my buddy with me!
And speaking of my buddy, quit calling him UGLY it makes us want to cry.

Remember that narcissistic man (the vet) you took me to....  You know the one who called me fat and insisted I cut back on the junk.  Then you came home to look at my old puppy photos and said "Aww look how little you use to be before you got chubby..."
Yeah well just so you know the kids been helping me break that diet for months now!!
I'm a growing boy ma!
The man lied when he said 60 pounds was to much for a puggle

Speaking of narcissistic people I don't know who convinced you that people come to the house to see you....  Clearly they are here for me

Well mom I have lots to do today so lets make the rest of this letter quick.  I'm pretty sure I missed a trash can in the bathroom who knows what treasures could lay within....

It is a well known fact that food always taste better from Emma's dish

Even better when she gives up hope and lets me have it all.

I don’t like dressing up for the holidays….

This just isn’t cool mom

When I make this face it doesn’t mean I did something bad!!

It is my way of trying to say “WHAT!!! THAT WASN'T ME!

I have myself convinced that if I can’t see you than you can’t see me.
Which is why I turn away when try to call me over for medicine.
Pretty smart, huh?

Oh and when people come over and I insist on jumping on them its because I convinced myself that in the 2 days didn't see them that they died!!  Yes mom really!!  Once a day everyday I lose every friend I have. EVERY SINGLE ONE!!!
So excuse me that once they walk through the door I am overwhelmed with joy that they are still alive.
It is kinda like we start our friendship all over again.

Last but not least mom I love you guys.

You make thunderstorms less scary and walks with you are the highlight of my day.  You keep my water and food dish filled.  You give me silly nicknames.  Even when I am naughty and ruin your stuff I know it will still be okay.
You came to the farm that day and I was the last puppy in my litter.  I was all alone when my brothers and sisters got new homes, but you came and gave me a family.
A family that hugs and play with me everyday, I never mind hugs even when they come with sticky muddy fingers.
Thank you mom for loving me as much as I love you.

Your naughty, stinky, ugly buddy having,
perfectly fit, totally popular, selective hearing.

Little Tikes Sizzle N Serve Grill

Disclaimer:  I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not paid in anyway to write this review.  All opinions are my own.
Summer is here....  well okay almost lol.  Summer vacation for the kiddos is here though and this mama has a whole agenda of fun things to do!  Over the next several weeks I will be making posts not only on products, but also recipes, games, crafts and so much more.  Click the photo below to see my entire Summer Fun Guide and also enjoy the review below with a product little ones are sure to adore:

Little Tikes Sizzle N Serve Grill

My hubby and I love to grill.  We keep our grill on the porch year round, because even in the winter time we venture out sometimes to grill something up.
Summer time we constantly have the grill on, is it me or does everything taste a bit better on the grill?
My hubby has even grilled bacon in the morning.
My kiddos want so badly to help, they love to cook with me indoors, but I don't trust the grill it is to high and 90% of the surface is hot.....  Plus my hubby is famous for starting small grill fires.

I felt bad though and have been looking for a small grill for them.  Not a real one of course, but one they could pretend to make food on.  My kiddos have pretty wild imaginations and we often play "Restaurant" with their indoor kitchen set.  As I mentioned though summer is grilling time, so their indoor kitchen don't do them much good.
It wasn't until I was checking out Little Tikes that I found them the perfect Little grill!

Don't mind Quinn's angry face, he was mad that I had to build the grill and couldn't magically snap my fingers and make it suddenly assembled lol!!

Let me first talk to you about assembly.  It was easy, normally I wait for the hubby to come home to build things.  With Little Tikes I learned long ago that I could simply do it myself.  The instructions are easy to follow and I needed NO tools.  All the parts snapped into place.
The Grill doesn't take up much space and it is sturdy.  I don't have to worry about a strong wind knocking it over.

Next up I was impressed with the features.  It had a cute open and close lid. "Just like mommy's grill." said Quinn.
It was perfect for little fingers too.  The lid doesn't slam close and catch their fingers, nor does it fly open when they pull it up.  Actually it only opens so far so that the lid stand ups.  Again just like my grill :)
I did look at the Little Tikes site and see some people had issues getting the lid to properly attach.  This was the only tricky part for me I had Brandon Jr hold it perfectly still as I used both hands to squeeze the back into place.  It took quite a bit of pressure, but in the end I did get it attached right.
As you can see the Little Tikes Sizzle N Serve Grill came with lots of accessories:
 1-Pair of tongs
 1-Spatula
 1-Bottle of ketchup
 1- Bottle of mustard
 2-Hamburgers with bun
  2-Hot dogs with buns

It also features a turntable knob, again adding to the "real" feel.  I liked the little hooks to hang up their Spatula and Tongs.  Also the inside of the grill had "Lines" just like my grill.  At least that is what my boys call them.

Another feature we really liked was how easily it was to move.  My boys set it up next to my grill, but when I am cooking I don't want them that close.  The Little Tikes Sizzle N Serve Grill has wheels so my boys could easily move it themselves.

The thing I love most though is the smiles it puts on my boys face.  They love to use their imagination to us it may look like a plastic toy, but to my kiddos it was a grill being featured in a 5 star restaurant and they had a patio full of people waiting to be served.
With with aprons and chef hats they got to work.  Quinn even went around getting our orders.

Little Tikes is one of my favorite companies, because they promote kiddos to use their imagination and play.

I wasn't sure how long it would hold their attention, but it seems every-time my hubby and I grill they do too :)

2015 Summer Fun Guide

2015 Summer Fun Guide

Summer is quickly approaching.  Which means my boys and I are about to spend a lot of time together.  Summer use to be easy when my oldest was an only child and just young.  It was as simple as taking him outside and rolling a ball back and forth.
Fast forward several years and the ball is no longer as fun as it once was.
Now I have to find ways to keep them occupied for the next 3 months!!

Don't get me wrong I am not dreading it, I love spending time with my boys.  I just want to make sure they get the most out of this summer and hopefully will make memories that last a life time.

Over the next 3 months I will post games, recipes, crafts, cheap vacations and even products to make your summer fun and hopefully memorable.

McFarland USA

Disclaimer:  I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not paid in anyway to write this review.  All opinions are my own.

McFarland USA

Channel your inner champion and brace yourself for this inspiring adventure based on a true story of underdogs triumphing over tremendous obstacles in McFarland USA on Disney Blu-ray Combo Pack, Disney Movies Anywhere and Digital HD June 2nd! This moving story features Kevin Costner (“Dances with Wolves,” “The Untouchables), Morgan Saylor (TV’s “Homeland”) and Diana Maria Riva (“NCIS: Los Angeles,” “Castle”) amongst others in this touching tale displaying the power of family, commitment and work ethic that transforms a cross-county team into champions. Bonus features include McFarland Reflections, deleted scenes, extended scenes and more!

The movie starts with Jim White a football coach angry at his team for a less then stunning half.  In his temper he throws a shoe that accidentally hits one of the players in the face.
This incident forces him to load up his family and move, he suddenly finds himself in McFarland CA.
McFarland is a far cry from what him and his family are use to.  On their first night there a family dinner gets turned crude do to some of the locals.
Than again at a football game him and the head coach argue over the well being of the players.
McFarland doesn't seem like such a great place to live and raise a family.

During a PE class he notices that some of the boys are very fast, fast enough to even run in competition.
He forms a plan to start a cross country team, with the Diaz brothers as his first "runners."

He recruits several more members and through out the movie we see our stars face and overcome problems.  Jim goes above what any other coach would to help his team not only be better athletes, but also better people.

They qualify for the first round and move up in the cross country competition.

After seeing the skill of his runners Jim is approached to take a full time position.  He considers and when his team and family find out they are upset with him.  His family because they feel settled in their new home and his team because he promised to make their lives better.
The team does make it to the finals and Jim seems the support from the community as they come to watch.

I don't want to give away the ending just know it is heartwarming and has all the magic that Disney movies promise.
Jim and his players face difficult decisions and issues, that they always seem to overcome them.
This is a true underdog story that is sure to let everyone feeling good.  I loved the interaction between not only the coach and players, but also the community as a whole.
The scenes were true and filled with feeling without being overwhelming and feeling forced.
Jim inspires to make the best of what you have and to never give up no matter how dire a situation seems.

Peanut-butter icing recipe Bake N Stuff Cupcake Pan #MadeWithLoveCooking

Disclaimer:  I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not paid in anyway to write this review.  All opinions are my own.

Peanut-butter icing recipe Bake N Stuff Cupcake Pan

My grandmother was a baker.  She made a living making cakes and other bake goods for our community.  Sadly I didn't inherit her skills, if not for cool gadgets and devices I wouldn't be able to bake a thing.

Recently I was contacted to review a Bake N Stuff Cupcake Pan, its a pan that allows me to make stuff-able cupcakes!!  Not only does the outside look awesome, but now the inside can too.  Making already yummy cupcakes bursting with even more flavor!

To use the pan you simply separate, clean, spray with cooking spray and than fill with you favorite batter.

I want to note you want to spray the top and bottom to make for easy separating later.
Also you want to use 3 tablespoons in the "bottom" part of the cupcake and 2 in the "top" part.
Oh and it is also normal for some batter to rise above the vent holes you simply scrape this off later.

Once you remove there will be a top and bottom.  The bottom looks like this
Until of course you fill it, then it will look like this!!!

Next you add your top half and finish with you icing.

Now what would a cupcake post be without a recipe??
I want to share with you the Peanut-Butter icing recipe my nanny shared with me

Peanut-Butter Icing
What you need:
5 tablespoons butter (soften)
1 1/2 cups PLUS 2 tablespoons of confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup of smooth peanut butter
2-5 tablespoons milk (Judge this for yourself you do not want you mix to become to wet so add them one at a time)

And the directions are as simple of mixing it all together!!

I also want to mention that chocolate peanut butte cupcakes are only one of many options for the Bake N Stuff Cupcake Pan!
You can make so many cupcake combinations and I even seen someone made cornbread muffins stuffed with chill!!

My hubby wants me to attempt some sort of roll stuffed with a cheese filling :)

Stay tuned I'm sure I will be posting the recipe.
