New Book release

Howl For It

As I'm sure some of you know Cynthia Eden and Shelly Laurenston are my favorite paranormal romance authors :)!  They introduced me to the paranormal genre with "When he was Bad"  Anthologies.
I loved it and have been reading Paranormal ever since, but through all the amazing authors I've read Shelly Laurenston/G.a. Aiken and Cynthia Eden have remained my favorite paranormal authors.

So you can imagen how excited I was yesterday when they Release another book together!!

Howl for it :)  I finished the book last night staying up to 3 am because I was unable to put it down! I even got snippy with my hubby when he asked for dinner!  Don't the man know that my 2 favorite authors had a release on the same day in the same book LOL!!! I LOVED IT by the way if you didn't figure that out by my 3am bed time ;)!!

In a few days I will write a full review but right now I just wanted to let everyone know about the release of this book and to let you know its a must read paranormal book!!

Tommee Tippee Cup Review

Tommee Tippee Cup Review

Recently I was giving the opportunity to review the Tommee Tippee Drinking cup.

A few things I liked right away just from looking at the package.
~ The bright colors, I thought they were cute and my kids loved the designs!  Quinn was instantly in love and pointing things out :)
~ I loved the fact that they are truly non spill and easy to hold!  This is so important for traveling, I know I found upside down drinking cups one to many times!  Its nice to know that even if my kids do drop these I wont have to worry about the spill.
~ I like that they are insulated.  During the summer we are always at sporting event and the kid's drinks get warm so fast!  It nice to know with this insulated cup they will stay cooler longer.
~ They are dishwasher safe....  Enough said :)!!

After opening I discovered a few more things I liked.
~ They are BPA free!
~ The cups are also light weight and easy for my little guys to grip.
~ And the valve comes out and apart, which is good for cleaning.

I love the fact that this is a weaning cup and that it is helping Quinn get ready for adult cups :)  It was easy for him to figure out and I was reassured that I would not have a huge mess because its non- spill!
You can buy Tommee Tippee products at Target, Babies R US, and Toys R US!
Also you can check out their sites for my information

Road Kill T-Shirts Review

Part of the Back to School Extravaganza

Road Kill T Shirts

 "funny t shirts"

Most of my back to school reviews have been directed at small kids.  So today I decided to review a site that has funny t shirts that would be perfect for teenagers or adults :)
Some of the shirts quotes I really liked from their website were:
"I'm a stay at home son."
:)  I really think I may get that for my son!
Another one I liked,
"I'm not stubborn my way is just better."
This so fits my son!
At the Road Kill T shirt website they have many shirts like this!!  Some are appropriate for kids others for adults.  All of them are funny and guaranteed to get laughs.
Their site also offers  American Apparel t-shirts and bottle cap opener t-shirts.

I was sent a shirt in trade for an honest review.  I got a shirt for my hubby and he couldn't stop laughing when he seen it.

To be honest I don't get it!  It says:
"I had friends on that death star."  My hubby on the other hand thinks its great and insisted I wasn't reading it right!  His friends also found it funny so maybe I was reading it wrong :)!

I do like many of their shirts even though I'm not big on wearing funny t-shirts they will make great gifts.  For people like my hubby who's entire wardrobe has something written on it and my brother too.  I know what they are both getting for Christmas this year :)

Right now Road Kill is offering a giveaway on their facebook page to win a t shirt of you own so go check them out!

Also if you want more information or want to buy your own Funny Road Kill T Shirt check out their website.

Skeeter Snacks review

This review is part of my Back to School Extravaganza!

Recently I was giving the opportunity to review Skeeter Snacks cookies.  As with all my reviews I first want to tell you a bit about the product and company.

Skeeter Snacks make a great snack for everyone!  These are a great after school, great for school lunches, or just great for a snack in general.  So I guess you are wondering what sets them apart from other snacks?

Skeeter Snacks are totally nut free!  So many parents now of days have children with nut allergies and Skeeter Snacks offers them a safe alternative.  Not only are their snacks nut free, but their entire facility is nut free!
My nephew has a nut allergies and I know my sister in law struggles so much with finding him snacks!  Even snacks that are nut free still have warning labels that say they were made in the same area as nut products.   Shopping has become a constant struggle for her trying to find my little nephew snacks.  As I know it is with most parents who's children have this same problem.  So you can imagine how super excited I was to find this company for my nephew!  I couldn't wait to introduce her to this Skeeter Snacks and also to tell other great parents like you :).

The truth is you should be able to buy nut free snacks that taste great, and are affordable.  And with Skeeter Snacks you get that!

My review!

I got to review 3 flavors.
Golden oatmeal
Skeeterdoodle
Chocolate Chunk

My family loved each of them!  No way would I ever be able to tell that they are nut free!  They taste delicious and better yet they are super affordable!

My little Quinn loved the Skeeterdoodle!  If he tasted a difference I sure didn't notice!  He didn't even want me to take a bite so I can see how they tasted!  I did sneak a bite and I thought they were delicious!!

Brandon Jr loved the Chocolate chunk best.  Again he didn't notice a difference and when I tried a bite I thought they were again so yummy!  Both my kids couldn't wait for dinner to be over so they could try these :)  and Skeeter did not disappoint :)  My son even asked the next day if he could have another Squirrel cookie!

My hubby tried the Golden Oatmeal and didn't give me the chance to taste them!!  He thought the whole pack was for him!!  He did say they were really good and asked if they sell them at our local store :)  When I told him they were nut free he couldn't wait to call his sister since its her son with the nut allergies.

No one in my family suffers from a nut allergies so these are great even for people without nut allergies!  I know my hubby is already planning on ordering some for my sons class since we have to provide snack for certain days.  I gave him how many I thought we should order and he told me to add extra so we can have some for the house!  So these are a great snack all around nut allergies or not!!  :)

So as for my review, Skeeter Snacks gets a thumbs up.
Great taste,
great price,
and offering children with nut allergies a safe snack!

They can now be bought at your local Costco in the Northeastern part of the USA.

So if you are looking for a great back to school snack or even just a great snack for at home check them out here:

REVOLUTION46R46 Review and Giveaway!

REVOLUTION46R46

This is part of my Back to School Extravaganza!

Recently I was given the chance to review Revolution 46.  They specialize in personalized t-shirts and offer a wide range of designs.

These are just a few of the choices at Revolution 46!  Each shirt can be personalized.   They print digitally with water based dyes, so the print is embedded in the fibers. This makes a super soft design.
All of their items are made to order, making it easy to personalize your shirt anyway you want.  It is a family ran business and when you go to their site the adorable little boys modeling the shirts are actually their sons :)!

When looking at their shirts I kept having idea's on what they would be perfect for:
*The Big Bro and the Big Sis shirts would be so cute for a mom to be to get her kids!  Wouldn't this be a super cute way to make the announcement too??  Imagine dad just came home and seen his kid wearing a big bro/sis shirt :)!
*They also make little bro/sis shirt so it would be so sweet to get the pair and have your kids wear them on the same day!
*The name and age shirts would make an awesome B-day gift!  I actually got my kids the age shirts and can't wait for their birthday party so they can wear them to announce the big day! (Will post photos in a bit.)
*The monster shirt is so cute for Halloween time which is coming up soon.
* All of the shirts make super cool back to school items and I think any kid would love to wear them on the first day of school!  Also the name shirts would make introducing yourself so much easier!

My Review:

My kids love super heros!  I left them pick their own shirts and it was an instant BATMAN!!  So that was the first thing I loved about the shop, they know what little kids like!  Both my boys have November B-days and I thought it would be cute to get their up coming age on the shirt so they can where them at their combined party :)  And I LOVE how they came out.

I had to post this photo!  My boys are always so good for me with posing for photos, but today their uncle was here and the wanted to show him their Batman shirts!  This photo caught them in true form, Brandon Jr is my naughty boy and Quinn is my whiner :)  The point I was trying to make though is that they were so excited to show off their shirts that they wouldn't even sit for me to take a few photos!!
I did get a couple I will post below so you can see how cute these shirts are on my boys!

I love that Revolution 46 offers a lot of different shirt colors too!  I'm not sure if you can see this, but Brandon Jr has amazing blue eyes and Quinn has really pretty green eyes the shirts really made them stand out :).
Somethings I really loved:
~ The shirts are made with really good material which is a must have for little boys!
~ Great design it looks super cute and I could tell a lot of care went into putting it on the shirt.
~ Lots of color and size choices so something for everyone.
~Revolution 46 also prides themselves on great customer service and making sure you are happy with your order.

Snack Time!

This post is part of my Back to School Extravaganza!

Snack Time!

My son starts preschool soon, I'm sure anyone who has been following my back to school extravaganza knows.  As part of the preschool rules each parent is require to provide snacks for the entire class for a week.  :) I happen to be over excited about this!
For anyone else who has to do this a few things to take into consideration  are food allergies of the class mates, make sure whatever you make isn't to messy, how easily it is packed up to transport to the classroom and also the number of kids you must serve.

A few weeks ago I made a post for picky eaters, dinner-round-1-fight    Since I have a picky eater I have been making food fun for a long time and I can't wait to be able to make my sons class fun snacks :)
My son has already made several request, his top being fruit kabobs:

This one is just strawberries and grapes on a bendy straw.  You can improvise with whatever fruit you like also you an make the fruit into fun shapes with cookie cutters :)

Another thing he requested was popcorn ball snowmen, depending which week I get I don't know if I can do this.  I don't think kids want to eat snowmen in September :).  You make these by making popcorn balls in 3 different shapes for the body, use broken pretzels for the arms and chocolate chips for the eyes.  My kids love them :)
A fun idea is jello aquariums.  My son didn't request this, but I still plan on doing it.  Basically you get a see through cup I use the throw away kind.  Next make blue jello.  As you put the jello in the cup you add gummy fish :)  I tried using crushed up gram crackers on the bottom for sand but my son told me it was gross :(.    I think the kids will like these too at least I hope they do.

I never made this before, but I just found a really cute idea for a veggie snack.  You get an ice cream cone to represent a "pot" then you stick some kind of dip inside can be peanut butter, cream cheese anything really.  Next you have small celery pieces sticking out like they are growing.  I would also add a small bag of celery since I won't be able to fit much into the cone, but I still thought it was a really cute idea.  :)
(Again many kids have nut allergies make sure to find out before you make any snack for your child class.)

Some other things I may do are muffins, granola bars, and sweet potato chips as a side.

If anyone else knows of a fun snack let me know in the comment section :)  As the mother of a picky eater I'm always looking for inspiration!

Won't you be my friend?

Won't you be my Friend?

Tonight adoptable pets.

~ Always for you Rocky, I love you! ~

This was my shelter pup.  Won't you be my friend is dedicated to his memory.

Remember a dog is a life time responsibility.  They need love and care.  Adopting or deciding to be a pet owner is not a decision you should make lightly.  But if you are ready for a pet and ready to take that step in making a life long friend who will always love you even if your having a really bad hair day or if you clothes don't match, a friend who will get excited just because you are home even if you only been gone for 5 minutes, a friend who will sleep at your feet at night and not care if you snore,  a friend who will eat your burnt dinner and act as if it taste amazing, a friend who will love you just because your you....  If you are ready for that friend Then please consider adopting.

Last Days Of Freedom Hop. Alexandra Hawkins review.

Super excited to be taking part in the Last days Of Freedom Giveaway hop.  This hop is being hosted by I am a reader not a writer and The Elliott Review

Here at the Simply Me you have the chance to win All Afternoon with a Scandalous Marquess by Alexandra Hawkins!
Before I start my review and giveaway I want to tell you a bit about Alexandra Hawkins.  The woman's books are what got me addicted to romance!  Her book 'All night with a Rogue' was my very first romance book and since then I have not been able to stop reading romance!!  My hubby blames her for all the nights I have our night light on until 3am reading :)
All Afternoon with a Scandalous Marquess is the 5th book in her Lords of Vice series.  Each book is about a different Lord of Vice and about the scandalous life they live.  Scandalous that is until a woman enters each of their lives one by one and tame them.
Here is the Series
All Night with a Rogue
Till Dawn With the Devil
 After Dark with a Scoundrel
 Sunrise with a Notorious lord
All Afternoon with a Scandalous Marquess

I loved the adventure and drama each book has woven into the pages.  I love the fact that the heroines are never in need of saving and instead seem to be strong and able to care for themselves.    Alexandra Hawkins has created a world that you wish you could be part of!  Her books stay with you long after you read them and I personally can't wait until the release of each book to the point that I stalk her facebook page waiting for a release date announcements!

Wondering why I'm telling you so much about this amazing author?  Because here at Simply Me you can win the newly released installment of her Lords of Vice series
All Afternoon with a Scandalous Marquess!!!

My review:
Simon Jefferes, the Marquess of Sainthill AKA Saint has fallen in love.  The woman haunts his thoughts and he can't seem to get her out of his head.  Only there is a problem his love interest happens to be the notorious Madame Venna owner of London's most exclusive brothels.
Madame Venna is an exclusive beauty who hides her identity behind a half mask.  The mask not only hides who she is, but it also protects her heart.  Years of pain and a haunting past have taught her not to trust.  But she finds herself unable to to keep her walls up when a very determined Saint is set on ripping them down.

We start off years prior to when our story takes place.  To a very young Madame Venna known then as Catherine, we get a glimpse into her heart breaking tale.  We also get to glimpse into her strength for Madame Venna refused to be the victim!  The woman Catherine disappears and Madame Venna is born.  She saves herself from a very bad life and runs away to London to build her own and make her own fate.  She becomes the owner of The Golden Pearl brothel.  Running a establishment where men aren't after her heart is perfect for Madame Venna, that is until he shows up.
Saint a notorious Lord of Vice is intrigued  the moment he sees her.  He wants to find out all the secrets this woman hides, but when Saint gets to close to Madame Venna he is punished by being banished from her life.  For 6 years Saint seeks to punish the woman and himself until his love and want for her can wait no more and he sets out to earn the lady's love.
Just as Saint sets his heart on Madame Venna another woman enters his life.  Catherine the woman is maddening with her quick dismissal of him!  Saint slowly earns her trust and introduces Catherine to his friends.  Though his love for Madame Venna is still there.  Saint finds himself torn between the two woman....
That is until he discovers a little secret...........
Madame Venna and Catherine are in fact the same woman!
Determined to have this woman in his life Saint decides to go above and beyond and conquer her heart.

I LOVED this book and can't wait for the next Lord's of Vice book.  For more information about this series and author see the link below.

Lovable Labels Review!

First a few facts about Lovable Labels:
- They are great for labeling all your child's items.  Not only does this help to prevent things from being lost or switched it also gives your child a sense of belonging and will encourage them to take better care of their things.
- Lovable Labels are dishwasher and Microwave Safe, Waterproof, UV Resistant!
- They have a label for everything shoes, coats, bags, books, clothing, ect.....
- Really good for you child's support equipment!  Nothing like going to soccer practice and everyone having the same ball and having 30 kids on the field!  Yep with the lovable labels you will always know which ball is your child's :)
- For me this was a great product and came just in time!  My sons Pre-school has informed me everything must be labeled!  At first I was just going to get sticky notes and put them all over everything, but lovable labels offer a much more appealing option!  Also my son wont be embarrassed of lovable labels.
- With so many choices of label icons, there is something for every kids personality.

I will post a few photos below on how I  used the labels.
Labeled all my sons classroom room necessities!  So many different size labels means a label for everything :)
As part of the pre-school rules every parent at some point must provide snacks.  Its nice to be able to label my food carriers with my sons name.  This way I know no parents will mix up my carrier for their own.
Label lunch boxes and drink containers.  I also plan to label any containers I put in here for sandwiches, fruit and whatever else I may pack for my son.
Clothing labels are great for shirts, pants and whatever else you wish to label.  I also put one on my sons art smock too.  I come from a big family, so many times my son would lose a shirt at grandma's house and a month later I would see a nephew or little cousin wearing it......  No more of that with lovable labels!!  The fact they are machine washable also means grandma won't "accidentally" wash them off :)!
Great for sporting equipment!  And since the labels are UV resistant I don't have to worry about fading.
Shoe labels, I know at preschool the kids have nap time where they take off their shoes.  This will make it so much easier for the teacher if the shoes get mixed up.
I loved the attachable labels.  I recieved a small metal attachable thingy to connect this to zippers I used one on my sons book bag and one on his coat.

There really a label for everything.  Not only does this help the teacher know what belongs to who it also gives you the peace of mind that if your child would lose an item.  With their names on it there is a really good chance someone will know where to return it!

Disclaimer:  I received this item for the purpose of review.  I was not paid in anyway to write this review.  All opinions are my own.
