Little Me apparel

Disclaimer:  I was given products in this post for the purpose of review .

I hate summer time, if you been a long time fan of my blog you know this about me.  I can't stand the heat, the bugs and the humidity.  I am a Winter girl (John Snow and I would get along fabulously)  For some reason the summer just wouldn't take the hint this year and go away!  On Wednesday it was over 90 degrees!  This Winter loving mama was starting to get frustrated as were my boys!  But no need to fear dear readers because, my boys woke up today and it was chilly!
Which meant Quinn finally got to wear his Little Me Apparel outfit!

This boys set effortlessly transitions through the seasons with a long-sleeve graphic tee, slip-on jeans and a bright puffer vest made for layering.
Vest: 100% Polyester
Vest Lining: 100% Poly Fleece
Shirt: 100% Cotton Slub Jersey
Pants: 92% Cotton 7% Lycra Elasterell 1% Lycra Spandex
Machine wash cold and tumble dry low
Imported

Doesn't my little guy look so cute!  And chilly weather ready!  So if you never heard of Little Me Apparel let me tell you a bit more about they company
Little Me creates unique clothing that celebrates those fleeting years when newborns transform into young toddlers. At the heart of Little Me is this time of exploring and delight, the magical years of discoverhood. Our products let little ones be little — whether they’re napping, throwing cereal on the floor or crawling through deliciously muddy grass.
Little Me is constantly developing innovative apparel, accessories and products that nurture discoverhood. The line never uses tweed, leather or any other “grown-up” material. Little Me focuses on fabrics like soft cotton, terrycloth and velour. The collection abides by the belief that babies should always be comfortable, snuggly and safe, free to do what they do best: play, sleep and thrive.
Every Little Me product allows babies to discover the world at their own pace. They’ll have plenty of time to dress like adults. After all, even the tiniest newborn will grow up soon. Let them — and their parents —  enjoy the wonder while it lasts.

I couldn't get over just how soft Quinn's little outfit is.  He is all about texture when it comes to clothing and if something is rough or stiff he wont wear it.  Little Me Apparel was soft and moved with his body.  He loves it!

ELEMIS

Disclaimer:  I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.

I love the smells around the holidays!  Cookies baking, Christmas trees, gingerbread men, cinnamon, hot coco and so much more.  I can always tell when Christmas is getting close because every time I go to my nannies house I can smell cookies baking away and she normally lights some sort of holiday scented candle!

Now I don't get to bake as much as my nanny so my house doesn't have that all natural cookie smell, but I can see make it smell like the holidays with candles.  And I may have just found my new favorite company with ELEMIS!  There candle are long lasting and make a very large area smell good!
ELEMIS

THE GIFT OF COMPLETE BLISS: Gift the special, hard-working women in your life the feeling of total tranquility and peace this Holiday season with warming, aromatic candles and sensationally scented skin that has never felt softer.
Soothing Glow Candle  *same scent ELEMIS’ best-selling Cleansing Balm
Joyful Glow with hints of vanilla, orange and cinnamon this is the perfect holiday candle.

Event he candles themselves come in a festive holder!  Not only is this great to have in the house around the holiday but it would also make a super cute gift that anyone is sure to love.

TWEEZERMAN

Disclaimer:  I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not paid to write this post

Women are tough to shop for!  Not me, just get me a good book some chocolate and a fluffy pair of socks and I am good.  But most women are hard!  My dad every year calls in a panic asking what he should get my mother.  And he always struggles with her stocking, yes my dad is a dork and still fills a stocking for my mom.  So I always help him and this year I have the perfect suggestion.  Tweezerman has 3 cute holiday collection that any woman is sure to love!!

TWEEZERMAN
Sparkle & Shine Gift Set
  • Gorgeous brows and lashes are a zip away with this pale pink set featuring the ProCurl Lash Curler for round eyes and the Rose Gold Glitter Slant Tweezer inside a stylish clutch

Glitz & Glam Gift Set
  • Add a little sass to Santa’s list with this faux-snakeskin bag packed with a Hot Pink Glitter Slant Tweezer and the ProMaster Lash Curler created specifically for almond shape eyes

Glam Up Gift Set
  • Create an eye-catching look this must-have duo featuring the Rose Gold Classic Curler and Rose Gold Glitter Slant Tweezer
Everyone thinks I have bangs because it gives my rounder shaped face a bit of definition.  I let them think that because it sounds so much better than the truth.... I hate doing my eye brows!  I hate plucking them and trying to shape them.  But I have decided to let my bangs grow out and now I have to quit being lazy and start plucking lol
Giggle if you must be honest no one likes it!!   So for me this would be the perfect gift to find in my stocking this year!!

All In the Cards

Disclaimer:  I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not paid to write this review.

My hubby and I have very different wrapping techniques when it comes to gifts.  I am the person who makes sure the corners are folded just right.  I place a beautiful bow on top and I curl the ends of said bow. I like to use little bags and name tags.
My hubby attacks gifts with wrapping paper and tape and when he doesn't have enough gift wrapping tape he goes shipping tape.  His idea of a bow is all the extra wrapping paper he didn't bother to cut off....

Yes when we do secret Santa at my families house I can see people looking at his gift and secretly hoping that it isn't theirs lol

So why do I take so much time?  Because to me it is one more way to show my loved ones I care.  My nanny always opens my gifts real so so she can keep the paper.  My aunt loves horses so I always get her wrapping paper with horses.  Yes it may seem like something small, but at the same time it is also saying I cared.

I am absolutely in love with All in The Cards gift wrapping essentials.  Everything is so pretty and anyone who receives a gift using these products is sure to love it!

If you ever shopped at Target bullseye section or Walmart dollar spots during the holidays you most likely already saw these products and many more!  I love that they are affordable and I mean just look at them!  Who wouldn't want to find them under the Christmas tree this holiday season.

RiME

Disclaimer:   I was given products in this post for the purpose of review,  I was not paid to write this post

My family likes playing video games.  My son got Mortal Kombat and we like to set up double elimination brackets.  With the Winter months coming up we do this type of stuff more often.

We are always on the lookout for more games and I think we just found a new favorite with RiME
A land of discovery stretches out before you. Explore the beautiful, yet rugged, world of RiME, a single-player puzzle adventure game. In RiME, you play as a young boy who has awakened on a mysterious island after a shipwreck. You see wild animals, long-forgotten ruins and a massive tower that beckons you to come closer.  Armed with your wits and a will to overcome—and the guidance of a helpful fox—you must explore the enigmatic island and unlock its closely guarded secrets.

So this is a game we can play together even though it is single player.  What we do is play 15 minutes each, and when one of us is playing the other 2 are cheering them on.  And in this game helping them to solve puzzles, ect

So this is a few things I liked, the puzzles are easy, it is a pretty relaxing game.  I like that you can wander and just collect things as you wish. As the game play goes on it does get a bit more challenging, but not to much.  The game is short, I think if we had a rainy weekend my boys and I could finish it in one sitting.  So that could either be a pro or con.  Depending on the person playing if they are looking for something long or if they are just looking for something to do for a few hours.
The graphics and music are pretty neat.

I highly suggest this game for player of any age.

When I was little I had this little princess costume, that could be turned inside out and become a fairy!  To me this was magical!!  One costumer that was two?  My brother also had some soft of action figure toys that could be twisted and turned to become dinosaurs.  He thought it was awesome and it was like having 2 toys in one

I now have 2 little boys of my own and that line of thinking still holds true in little ones.  When one thing can become a complete other thing it really is magical to them.  So it is no wonder kids are going crazy for the Flippable Friends

Super Impulse World’s Smallest toys

Disclaimer:  I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not paid to write this review.  All opinions are my own.

My kids as many other kiddos are obsessed with youtube!  Now I monitor what they watch, but for the most part they like watching videos on how to beat certain levels in their video games.  They also love the gummy vs. real food videos and they like watching "toys for the 80's or 90's".
I was born in 87 so my kiddos make me sit down when they have these videos on and tell them which toys I had.  Sadly I was poor growing up so the list is pretty short lol.  Sometimes they even watch these video's with my dad and ask him which toys he had.
It is fun to reminisce with my little guys and thanks to Super Impulse World's Smallest toys, I can now get them a small version of some of the toys I once loved!!
One word can be used to describe World’s Smallest toys: nostalgic.

World’s Smallest toys are a blast from the past, and these classics never go out of style! Super Impulse, a leader in the retro toy space, is responsible for this successful line of toys – the adorable miniature versions of everyone’s favorite toys. These are the same toys that parents and grandparents grew up with including the 1948 Magic 8 Ball, 1959 Barbie, 1943 Silly Putty, Gumby from the 1950’s and many more! They’re all fully working versions: Barbie’s limbs are fully articulate and the 1970’s Rubik’s cube replica is functional – the perfect pocket-sized buddy or desktop companion.
These toys are so small they make the perfect addition to any stocking stuffer. World’s Smallest gives you the chance to re-collect all your old favorites and re-introduce the toys that brought you joy in your childhood to the little ones in your life!

A picture is worth a thousand words Collage.com

Disclaimer:  I was given products in this post for the purpose of review  I was not paid to write this review.  All opinions are my own.

On rainy days one of my little guys favorite things to do is get out our photo bins and look at old photos.  Each photo tells a story.  When we go through them we giggle at the funny times we had, feel sad over those we have lost over the years, feel happy when we are reminded of something we forgot and even get excited when an old photo brings back the same feeling we had in the moment that photo captured.  It is just something I love doing with my boys.  Something that sadly was not part of my childhood.  Now as I said this is one of our rainy day rituals, another ritual in my house is when my boys are sick I set them up on the little couch (to contain germs to one area) I get them all their favorite dvd's, water, tissues or anything else their sickness may call for and I also get them the softest blanket I can find.
Even though that soft blanket is just a small jester of my love I can tell it means a lot to my boys.  When ever one of them feels sick they even request the "sick" blanket.
One day by accident I stumbled across Collage.com they are a company that takes your photos and helps you to display them in a whole new way!!  No longer will photos sit in photo boxes or albums.  Now you can turn them into cups, place-mats, pillows and you guessed it even blankets!
I mean what could be better then a soft blanket when you aren't feeling good?  Well how about a soft blanket with a cherished memory woven into its very fibers!
The best part about their site is you are free to make your project how ever you want.
Want to add one photo?  Great, what to add 30 photos?  Have at it!  The choice is yours.

I personally choose to review 2 photo blankets.  The Plush Sherpa, Collage.com's coziest blanket, made out of an extra-thick sherpa arctic fleece Your design in sharp detail on one side; cream-colored sherpa fleece on the other Machine washable; satisfaction guaranteed
One was for Brandon Jr, he is growing up on me so fast.  But no matter how big he gets when he is feeling sick or even just sad, he comes to me.  He is still at the age where a hug from mom can cure a lot.  I wanted to get him a blanket that reminded him of one of our funnest times together.  And that was the first time we went on a train ride with Santa!  I can still remember that day!  We stood in line and took several photos in front of the train.  Once we got aboard the train was all decked out for Christmas time!  A man came around and handed out candy and other treats for the kiddos and then it happened!  Santa and Mrs Claus walked through the train door to our car!  Brandon JR was so excited he kept looking at me as if he couldn't believe he was this close to Santa.  After he talked to Santa and gave him a hug he wrapped his little arms around me and thanked me for getting us tickets to go on the train!  When I asked Brandon what he wanted to get on his new sick blanket he told he wanted a photo of me and him from that day.   And yes my heart did melt a little bit when he said that!
Now let me make something very clear before I tell you about my 2nd blanket.  Brandon Jr is my sentimental son.  I love both my boys the same and I know they boy love me.  Quinn is a very honest person, sometimes brutally so.  If you ask him if something looks bad he will truly tell you if it does.  If your breath stinks Quinn will be the person to let you know.  Quinn is just Quinn.  After hearing his brother heart felt reason for why he wanted this photo on his blanket Quinn looked me right in the eye and asked me "Mom do you want to know what makes me happiest?"  I got a little smirk on his face, I am his favorite thing in the entire world.  We have so MANY memories.  I tuck him at night, I make his favorite dinner at least 2 times a week, I write him cute little notes in his lunch can.  I got a huge smile on my face and said "what makes you happiest Quinn?"  I sat back just waiting to hear which of our lifetime memories made him happiest.
With a huge smile he told me.... "Loki"  umm what!!!!!  I love my dog more then most people love their dog, but  I mean come on!  I ma his mom, how can I not be his favorite.  Okay he is confused so I have to remind him of all the fun we had.  So after  several minutes of reminding him of all our fun times, he looks me dead in the eye and with all the earnest a 6 year old can muster up tells me "Yeah but Loki licks my toys and it tickles...."  Well how can I complete with that!  So here folks is my little Quinn's new blanket

I honest though am in love with both of them!  I can't get over how great they turned out and I know that this is something my boys will cherish for years to come!  If you are looking for that one of kind gift this holiday season, look no further Collage.com has everything you could possible need for everyone on your holiday list.

All of their blankets are backed by Collage.com's Just Right 100% satisfaction guarantee: if a customer doesn't like his or her order, they make it right or refund their money.
New customers also get 60% off their first order. There's a banner in the top left corner of the page where new customers can get the 60% off discount on their very first order.

Friday Night Lights – The Complete Series

Disclaimer:  I was given products in this post for the purpose of review I WAS NOT paid to write this review.  All opinions expressed in this post are my own.
My kiddos go to bed at about 8:30, we have to get up at 5:30 and it takes them awhile to fall asleep.  My hubby and I work 9+ hour days some times, so normally by 8:30 we are done!!  Our thing is curling up on the couch together and watching tv.  Over the years we found many shows together.  It is kind of our thing :)!  One of our favorites was Friday Night Lights!  There was so much character depth in this show, and the relationships and story lines that were built were addicting!  Sadly we never got to finish!  Our son broke the shelf that our TV box was on and our dvr broke!  Taking with it several hours worth of recorded shows.

I'm sure you know when I was offered the chance to review Friday Night Lights the complete series I was beyond thrilled!! I finally get to see how it ends(No spoilers people!!)

When they struggled, we held our breath. When they lost, we felt their pain. And when they won, we cheered them on again and again.
Coach Eric Taylor is the newest hire at a small town high school in Dillon, Texas. After a series of events leading to his release, Taylor is forced to build a football team from the ground up at the rival high school. His wife Tami, high school principal, faces scrutiny of her own as she takes constant blame from angry parents. But even through the hardships at work, challenges at home with teen daughter Julie, and endless drama, only one thing matters: Friday night.
Through five extraordinary seasons, the residents of Dillon, Texas, kept viewers captivated with the small-town struggles, victories, and heartbreaks that resonated across America with breathtaking realness, and made Friday Night Lights, a Primetime Emmy® award-winning drama.  Relive the spirit of this small town with a big heart: from the pride and pitfalls of high school football to the intimate relationships between lovers, parents and friends.
CLEAR EYES, FULL HEARTS, CAN’T LOSE.

Pokémon Petite Pals Collection

I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  All opinions in this post are my own, I was not paid to write this post.

 Pokémon Petite Pals Collection
When I was a kid I remember trading Pokemon cards with my friends.  I remember watching the show and I remember when my dad purchased me a holographic Charizard card.  I was the coolest kid at school that week lol  It is now years later and Pokemon is just as cool now as it was then!  My boys are always talking about card battles they had on the bus, and when Caden got an awesome EX card it was all I heard about for a week.  Pokemon are fun and something I can see being around even when I have grandchildren.
When I was a kid there wasn't much besides the cards, kids now have so many new ways to enjoy Pokemon including the all new Pokemon Petite Pals Collection!
PETITE PALS ESCAPE IN THE FOREST PLAYSET Time for a forest vacation with all your friends! You can decorate the walls, accessorize, and set the place up the way you want. Spend some quiet time on the swing; get your packages up thanks to the manual elevator. All is ready for your Pokémon to have a relaxing time. Includes 3 figures, multiple accessories and a fairytale tree house playset.

Lightseekers! A must have this Holiday Season

I was given products in this post for review.  Opinions expressed in this post are my own, I was not paid to write them
The holidays are only 3 months away, and even though that seems like a long time for someone who has very little free time it is just around the corner!
I try to give myself at the very least 3 months to get ready, that way when we get closer I can just enjoy spending time with my boys and not worry about shopping and gift wrapping.
Quinn is still very easy to shop for, he is 6 and loves everything!  My oldest is going to be 10 in a few weeks and he is in that hard stage.  He only likes a few toys, but at the same time he doesn't just want clothing and teenager stuff.  This mama is stumped, but there is one thing he has requested over and over again (well 2 things, but my 10 year is not getting a 4-wheeler!!) the one I can get him though is Lightseekers!  It is perfect for that hard to shop for stage.  It is advanced enough to keep him entertained, but also fun to keep him coming back for more!

For anyone whom is yet to hear of Lightseekers, get ready because I have a feeling this is going to be the next BIG thing!

The Smart Action Figures: Lightseekers Heroes and Accessories Lightseekers smart action figures deliver real-time two-way interaction between your hero and the game. They talk, vibrate, and use different colored lights to show status and to help guide gameplay.
Lightseekers also offers next level interchangeable accessories. Equipping a weapon or accessory onto an action figure will have an immediate effect in the game and vice versa, opening up new abilities and adventures.
In addition, flight packs can be added to any hero, allowing players to magically control their in-game character by moving the toy. That’s right, your figure can actually act as the controller! Your heroes evolving in-game attributes, accomplishments, and lineage are stored so that your hero is truly one-of-a-kind.

So I love the fact that the figure can actually become the controller, this makes for an awesome live kind of playing!  Also the character develops.  Meaning that once my son makes an accomplishment the hero remembers it for his next play.  You download the game for free on your device.  I like this because my kiddos are always scratching their discs.  The fact this is an app is perfect for their destructive ways!  You can't ruin an app!!
In the game play, you go on a quest to rid the world of the evil Umbro.  Along the way collect and enhance equipment, level up and learn new skills.  There is even side quests that help to keep you engaged!
My son is going to be 10 and the game was simple enough that he could figure out how to play.  I am 30 and even I enjoyed playing, so I would say this game is fun for all ages.  We did get the starter pack, and it had everything you need to play.  My little guy does want to get some of the accessories and I may get him some for Christmas, but the game is fun and challenging even without them :)

And it seems like you can buy them almost anywhere!

ABCmouse the gift that keeps giving

Disclaimer:  I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not paid to write this review.  All opinions are my own.

My oldest son is smart, and yes I do mean he is good at school, but I would go a step further to say the kid is a boarder line genius!  When I do homework with him, I am just mostly sitting there making sure he doesn't get distracted and start drawing or playing on his kindle.  He stopped needing my help in preschool.  Now Brandon may have a super easy time in school, but my Quinn isn't the same.  Every day at school is a struggle for him, he has an at home tutor, he has Title 1 classes, a speech therapist and so many other specials set up to help him get through his day.  Homework time is dreaded and what should take 10minutes takes us at least an hour.  I do everything I can to help Quinn.  And even though it seems like the tutor, the special classes and the speech therapist may seem like a lot it really is helping him.  At the beginning of last year no one thought Quinn would pass.  But he did!  Not only did he pass, but he was actually one of the top kiddos in his class by the end of the year!  He works hard and I don't want to brag, but some days I work just as hard as him!  His education is one of the most important things I can help him with.

As a mom I have tried several things and I finally realized that making learning fun was my best approach!  When Quinn and I read we make a blanket tent in my room.  When we do math I set up a game outside with chalk.  And now thanks to ABCmouse learning and fun now go hand in hand!

You start your child on whichever level you think is best for them if you find your child is ahead or behind that particular level that is okay because you can change it at anytime.
The lessons cover reading, math, science, art, colors and Music.
The lessons were short and always changing.  One minute he was coloring, the next singing a song, doing a puzzle and so much more.  It was always changing and keeping him engaged.  He never had time to get bored.
Plus he is rewarded for learning, at the end lesson he gets to pick a prize.

With each activity he completes he earns tickets and points that he can spend at the pretend online store.
They love buying new pets with the points they earn during Quinn's lessons.
