Dutch Wonderland

Disclaimer:  My family will be provided complementary tickets to the park for this promotional post.
Today is April 21 and my kids have already put in all their Summer Vacation requests!  We have to prepare a bit early since my hubby is a foreman and needs to give a pretty big advance notice when he is taking off.
Here is everyone's  requests for this year
My oldest wants to go to Gettysburg for a day, my youngest wants to take a trip to the zoo.  They both requested summer pool passes and they both want to go camping with my Church (Pray for me people this mama does not like camping!!!) and for our amusement park trip it was a unanimous Dutch Wonderland!!
My family LOVES it there!  Not only for the rides, (Which even if it was that would be okay, because the rides are pretty epic) but there is also so many places to eat and so much to do.

My boys are OBSESSED with the Dinosaur park area!

And they are always adding new things!

    Cate & Chloe VIP box

disclaimer:  I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  i was not paid to write this review
Recently I was contacted to write a review for the Cate & Chloe VIP box.  I really wanted to be impressed by this company, sadly though I was let down
First let me tell you about them
It is as simple as 1 2 3 First you sign up next a stylist puts together you box finally it is delivered right to your door!

Sounds simple enough right?  Well let me tell you why I was let down
I took a style quiz, thinking oh wow this box is going to be personalized for me!
Wrong one of the questions was do you wear earrings.  I answered no... My box had earrings.  Okay no big deal.  Another question asked my ring size....  My ring is WAY to small!  My sister is a size 6 and the ring got stuck on her finger.

This was 2 of the 4 items in my box.  I was also given some sort of hair product.  It was nice, but not jewelry???

Finally I was given a leather choker.  It is cute, but I am 30 I no longer wear chokers.

So I was very let down by the Cate & Chloe VIP box and cannot in good faith direct my readers to their site

Rugrats: Season 1 & Rugrats: Season 2 on DVD

Disclaimer:  I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not paid to write this review.  All opinions are my own
I grew up in the 90's when TV was EPIC!!  Okay there is still some pretty cool shows, but nothing can compare to AHHH Real Monsters, Are you Afraid of the Dark, Hey Arnold, Roccos Modern Life, CatDog and Rugrats.
And that is just a few of the awesome shows that I use to watch.  I love when my old shows come out on DVD because they I can share them with my boys!

I am sure you know that I was super excited when I saw The Rugrats were being released on DVD!
A baby's gotta do what a baby's gotta do in the all-new DVD releases of Rugrats: Season 1 & Rugrats: Season 2.  Told from the perspective of a group of adventurous and imaginative toddlers, Rugrats transformed the most mundane activities into unforgettable adventures. Led by fearless leader Tommy Pickles, the gang can turn an ordinary trip to the park into a journey across the Sahara in search of water, a visit to the plant nursery into a jungle trek to find a cure for "jungle beaver," or a search for cookies into a prehistoric fantasy. Together, there's no adventure too big and no problem they can't solve... or at least nothing that a good nap won't help.
Rugrats premiered on Nickelodeon in 1991 and is beloved by millennials as one of their favorite childhood TV shows.  With heartfelt and adventurous stories, Rugrats: Season 1 & Rugrats: Season 2 are sure to fill the nostalgic hearts of fans who grew up with the show as well as bring new joy and excitement to a younger generation. Episodes of Rugrats currently air on Nickelodeon's daily '90s programming TV block, "The Splat," from 10pm-6am (ET/PT) on TeenNick.
Rugrats: Season 1 Rugrats: Season 2 will be available individually on May 2 from Nickelodeon Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Media Distribution. Rugrats: Season 1 contains 25 episodes on two discs and Rugrats: Season 2 contains 51 episodes - over ten hours - on four discs.

    The Bible Explorer's Guide

Disclaimer: I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not paid to write this review.  All opinions are my own
My youngest son loves going to Church.  On Sunday morning he is the first one up and always bouncing around trying to get the rest of us out of the door.  My oldest has hit that age where he fights me on going.  Not because he doesn't love God or know God's love, but because he just wants to sleep in and play games.  I force him to go and every time he has a blast and he is happy that he went.
They just started something new at my Church and it is called Mission Minded kids, I am not 100% sure what goes on there..... But I do know my oldest SON loves it!  The past few months he has been the first one up trying to force all of us out the door faster.  As a mom it warms my heart to see him trying to grow closer to God and wanting to know more.  As a mom I do everything in my power to help him.  Which is why I was so excited when The Bible Explorer's Guide arrived at my house

The Bible Explorer’s Guide lets children come up close and personal with everyday life during Bible times through photos, maps, and illustrations illuminating, people, places, objects, and buildings of the Bible. What did Noah’s Ark really look like? Who was David and whom did he fight? How did 1st century citizens of Jerusalem live? Each two-page spread is filled with images that bring history alive and drawings that help bring life to people and places that we can only read about. With fascinating, brief text and full-color captivating images, this is a reference that kids will come back to again and again. A great addition to any home or school library.

Once my son picked up this book he just couldn't put it down.  And he even showed his younger brother stuff and was trying to teach him!!  Not only is he in God's word, but he is also sharing it!  (Yes this was such a proud mama moment)  The Bible Explorer's Guide gets kids excited and answer some of those "Why and how" questions that they have.

The Magic of Motherhood: The Good Stuff, the Hard Stuff, and Everything In Between

disclaimer:  I was given the book in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not paid to write this review

Being a mom is the greatest, yet hardest thing I have ever done!  Some days I feel like I really did a great job and other days I feel completely defeated and like nothing I did went right.  Well this book makes me realize I am not alone!  We have good days, we have bad days and we even have BLAH days.  The stories are heart warming and brought a smile to my face every time I read one.  I think it is a great book for moms of all ages!  The best part was the book wasn't a "how to guide" it was a book of real moms sharing their stories.  Moms who are going through the same stuff I am!  Even though I will never meet any of the women I feel like I already know them

    Sonic Underground Volume 2

Disclaimer:  I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not paid to write this review.  All opinions are my own.
When I was little my favorite thing to do on a rainy day was play indoors with my little brother.  We always did something active first like play school or we use to set up our dinosaurs and play with them.  Slowly though it would turn into us playing chase in the house or grabbing the brooms and pretending to be knights and trying to lob off each others heads.  At this point my mom normally had enough and would tell us to go play a video game.  We didn't have much money growing up (hence us resorting to playing with brooms) so we only had a few games.  No worries though our games were pretty awesome!
We had Zelda, Banjo Kazooie, Mario, DiddyKong rancing, Donkey Kong and of course Sonic!
And you want to know what the greatest thing is?  20+ Years later all these games are still popular and my boys actually play them!!!
Mario and Sonic are 2 of their favorites.  Not only do they like to play the games, but they also have tee shirts, toys and decor.  Plus several movies too
Speaking of movies there is an all new Sonic Underground volume 2

Join Sonic (voiced by Family Matters Jaleel White), and his siblings, Sonia and Manic, as they fight to be reunited with their long-lost mother, Queen Aleena. In this second and final set of episodes, we return to Dr. Robotnik having his sights set upon Queen Aleena's crown jewel, which glows as it moves closer to her. Sonic, Manic, and Sonia need to recover the jewel before Dr. Robotnik does. They need to do this not only to find their mother but also to protect her from Dr. Robotnik. Will they succeed? When they aren't battling Dr. Robotnik and his henchmen, Sonic and his siblings make time for their rock band, Sonic Underground. With over seven hours of content, this final set is sure to showcase all the best Sonic episodes from the tunes to the great battles. Based on the popular SEGA videogame character, this Sonic the Hedgehog collection is a must-have for all Sonic fans!

    Whimzees Dog Chew treats

I was given products in this post to test and give my honest feedback.  All opinions are my own.

Whimzees is a vegetarian, gluten free, all natural dog treat.
We were sent the Hedgehogs (Which are so cute!).

As dogs chew it helps to remove plaque and tartar from their teeth.  Emma has so many teeth issues and even had to have 3 removed!  It is so important for us to keep up on her dental health and Whimzees make it easier.

Plus it keeps them busy, some days Rufus is a little ball of energy.  It is fine most of the time, but like everyone else I need a few moments of peace once in awhile.  So now I just hand him a Hedgehog Whimzee!  He chews away and I get those precious silent moments I need!
I think the Hedgehog is about 3 inches, so perfect size for my beagle and puggle.  I would give them to smaller dogs, I think they would have a hard time with them.  Also I would be careful with larger dogs (Great danes, ect) I could see them swallowing it in one gulp.

    LokDog you stink!

Disclaimer:  I was given products in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not paid in anyway to write this review.  All opinions are my own
Growing up it was nothing for my parents to have 7 dogs at a time.  We lived in the country with 20 acres of land.  I personally have owned 5 dogs.
Rocky, Lucy, Emma, Rufus and Loki
Each of them had their own little ways and personality.  And they all had their bad habits.  Rocky came from a shelter so he was abused.  He would bite.  Lucy would take off whenever we opened the door.  Emma is the same and likes to run off.  Rufus has gas all the time and he thinks he is a lap dog.  At 50 lbs it hurts when he sits down on your head.
Loki on the other hand has several naught habits.  He sits wherever he wants.  He sits on your head, if you are in the tub he jumps in and tries to lay at your feet.  He will knock you off a chair if he wants it and so on.  Plus I have myself convinced he is a small horse, the dog is big and klutzy.  He also steals food, he sees nothing wrong to grab something off my plate and sit next to me and eat it!  The pup chews up everything and looks at me as if I in someway made him do it.  And he stinks!  He likes to jump into all types of muck and roll around in it!  There isn't a day that goes by that he doesn't drag some sort of stuff into my house.
He makes me smile though, he is silly and just a big goof.  He deepest desire first thing in the morning is give everyone a kiss and the reason he is always sitting on people is because he wants to be as close as possible to the family!
    He is my LokDog.

I do need to keep his order under control and thanks to the lovely people at I can do just that!
They have a line of quick bath products.  Meaning I can get in an out in just a few minutes.

    QuickBath® Shampoo and Conditioner

There are three NEW shampoos as well as a new conditioner. Quick Bath Shampoo is a tearless formulation designed to clean your pet while leaving a pleasant aroma.
    • Puppy Shampoo
    • Herbal Shampoo
    • Odor Control Shampoo
    • Natural Lustre Conditioner

These are great for small messes or on the go messes.   It doesn't matter where we are, when Loki feels like making a mess he will make one!  Quinn dropped a hotdog once at a ball game.  By the end of the game Loki rolled on that hotdog 10 times and was covered in mustart and ketchup!  I swear the dog smiled at me as he was doing it lol

You Know You're a Mom By Harry Harrison

I was given a free copy of this book for review.

It was okay, honestly, I myself would not spend money on it.  It is almost like a cute small gift to give someone, but the book has no real substance.   And after paging through it once I can see it just collecting dust on myself from this point forward.
Some of the pages did make me laugh, but not enough for me to consider it worth $6
    You Know You're a Mom
